This is actually the kind of attitude I'm talking about. I would venture to say that this is rather common among what I call the "8.0 and above" crowd. They are raised to believe that the world bends over backwards for them so unless you can afford to sustain their lifestyle or are of the same crowd (male equivalent), you would struggle to keep them.

Of course there are exceptions to the rule, but those are generally snapped up VERY quickly. So rather than deal with all the inevitable baggage of dating an 8.0 and above, I might opt for compensated dating instead if I can afford it and skip all the wooing, gifts, expectations and stress. This is especially true for men not looking for relationship or do not have the time for one (busy or erratic work schedule for example)

I don't necessarily agree with this statement though.. what they essentially sell is companionship. If you bring them to a company function or a wedding, then you are also maybe buying a way to impress your colleagues and friends.

Sure, there are escorts who provide umm.. happy endings - but I don't think that's always the case for compensated dating. Of course, if you have really good chemistry you might get lucky but I think the ultimate idea is that if it happens it's a bonus and not a given (unless agreed to beforehand).

Besides, these girls are not selling their bodies so why lump them in with the FL crowds? There is a merit in what you are saying. I have ever attended functions and since the circle in any industry is small, it is quite easy to pinpoint who are the mistresses and gf's.

If it is a chio mistress, the rumour mill will go into overdrive. Many will start suspecting if they are misusing funds somewhere.

If it is a paid date, when someone uncovers it, definitely will become the butt of someone's jokes.

No sense in bringing paid dates for formal event. I think there is more value if you need them to help you kill time. That is if their looks, personality and charisma is worth the while.
