No offence to foreign wives. From the little knowledge but some information, reasons that approvals are not given as not just based on your annual income.

It can be of the following:

1) Education standard
2) Income
3) which company or what business you run

However, one disturbing factor i heard was though the gal is your wife, there are some personal records like crime which you may not know but they do. So you got to check properly.

I mayb wrong but with so many PRC come and go u really never know.

Thereafter, the chances of returning back will be granted via case-by-case basic, thru' short term social visit pass of up to 28 days.

Secondly, the local sponsor's employment history ought to be in good shape, with decent pay. You may like to relate more on the ger's past history during her one year stay here. I'm sure there's nothing to hide between married couples.

I guess u should seriously thinking of earning more b4 u settle down with her. With 1600 a mth n after cpf, u take home slightly more than 1k per mth.

Bro JaViEr84, correct me if i am wrong, but u are only 22 years old? Why make a lifetime decision when u are so young. I only got married when i was 30 years old. By 30, you will be more mature and the chances of making a wrong choice will be lower I do agree with Bro Namelo, your pay is a bit low to maintain a decent family. The chances of getting LTSVP for your gal is also low. Don't be blinded by love. Think practical and live in reality.

It is always a good practise to plan ahead. But in cases like yours, people change, situation changes, environment changes and ICA will always review thier immigration policies everynow and then. If you want to have a good headsup, then both of you must also improve academically and financially. Every component like basic pay, income tax, CPF and oneself criminal history are very vital in social passes processing.

jus dun understanfd how come those uncle can still marry foreign brides succesfully while i hav to get degree cert pay more than 2000.i dun believe those uncles doing odd job pay is so much..haizz..plus those agencies they find kampong gals let them learn chinese no education oso can come over singapore become prmy gf aunt doesnt even attend their 12 yrs education nor does she learn english here but still can bcome pr.the husband jus a sales engr in a small contractor company $1800 oni..but i tink he documented the pay slip himself change to a higher amount.heard when he marry last time doesnt even had a job had to use his parents as garantor for his wife..haiz life is so unfair.

Hi Bro,

Finally, i've received my wife's LTSVP and they only gave 6 months (shld be thankful ). Anyway, can be renewed when is time is up. I've just completed my PR application last saturday and now got to wait for three months.

I think they are also considering my previous marriage and the alimony that I might have to pay. I don't feel that confident after they issue only 6 months LTSVP. I've found a new job which is 33% higher pay than now and also gave them a copy of my letter of appointment (not sure whether that will help??). I'm actually quite well paid already but they seems to be quite unwilling to give longer term. I reckon they also take your wife's education standard quite seriously as she is only Junior middle school graduated. Hope to hear good news in 3 months time..
