aye, dont mean to say this type of chest thumping stuff, but saw what was going on and wanted to remind bros here what it meant to be supporting liverpool in the 1st place. whether they win the premiership or not, with their pride and the fanaticism of their local fans, my association with them alone brought me much happiness already. everything else is a bonus.

Yep. It has been a long long wait. This year was not too bad despite not winning anything but generally, we performed well and showed that we are improving. As long as Rafa continues to do the right things and improve the squad, the EPL championship will be ours in due course. This coming season will be the start of great things for our Liverpool.
still remember houllier's boring strategies... souness dragging pool down to depths i had never ever witnessed. well, we survived that! compare that to now, pool is much better now. i m grateful for that. no doubt they can do better. but i m sure they will do better with us behind them rather than screaming at them.
a liverpool fan is special, thus we must all conduct ourselves with much dignity, like the club. be it good times or bad, dignity is important. we r loyal, and do not waiver. we certainly do not sink down to depths like hiding behind cloned nicks to write nasty stuff about other clubs.

cheers to u too. but u should try to make a trip to watch a match at anfield. i have been to many stadiums in europe in the course of my work. even to the famous highbury. they were loud and so damn close to the action. but nothing will ever compare to anfield. full house singing YNWA and chanting goes on for the whole match!!! no wonder even illustrious opponents r also rattled!!! cos the whole stadium rumbles!!! u should try to go!!! u will never ever regret the experience.

and agreed with you fully, no new players does not mean wont be able to challenge for title, at the end of the day, if current players dun play well with new additional, it will not make the team stronger rite
if everything comes together, even without new players, pool will still be strong enough to challenge. just need the same kind of luck that manure has this season. they had the luckiest premiership crown in the history under the knight. if fairness prevailed, chelsea would and should have been the winners, alas for their extreme bad luck with injuries to key players. but see how the millionaires fought for jose mourinho!!! they had belief.
in my view, pool players lack that belief!!! if they go out and fight tooth and nail for every single point, good luck will come to them. agger will have matured, the players will have very little injury problems and all challenging for a place in the 1st eleven. strikers r hitting the back of the net on a regular basis. yes, can be done!!!
thanks to all bros who replied to my post. cheers...

Hahaha....me is a late starter...me start supporting Pool in the end of Kenny Dalgish era..and the beginning of Souness era...it was way back in 1991 and i was starting sec sch..... so i got experience the downside of Souness era except the win against Sunderland in the FA cup final and the 3-3 draw against the scum in Anfield... a bit of optimism during Evans era... as i see ourselves challenging for top 3-4 placing yearly.... with the league cup win being throw in during 94/5 season.... and off cse the memorable 2 goals that GOD score gainst the kung fu thug inspired scum ...marking his return wif a cheapo penalty..to spoil the party for Pool at OT...
then follow by Houllier..actually at the beginning i do see optimism... we won the incredible treble...of League, FA and UEFA cups... the next thing i know..i saw Owen and Company training at Bishan Stadium....
then... it was an incredible season led by Phil Thompson whereby Pool eclipse MU on the EPL...but eventually loose out to the gunners.... that season..we also make good progress in the CL..
so..to me ..even though Pool did not win the most converted trophy for the last 17 years...but these incidents does bring back good memories..off cse not forgeting Istanbul 2005.

definitely..though i am not a stauch supporter of the blues..but whoever challenge Scums for the title..will get my support..i have been cheering for Blackburn in 94/95...Arsenal 97/98, 03/04 and lately ...chelski for the title....
Fergie..is a wily old fox... whoever he is challenging for title..he will try to 'gain' the support of other teams to go against them... by making comments such as other clubs..like Pool will want to see his bunch of scums winning the title instead of Chelski.. well when i read this... my reply is 'over my dead body... i will not want the group of bloody scums to win the title...'
me...anything but manure..any team also can...even the likes of Leyton Orient, Doncastle,....etc..any team except the scums...
i believe if Pool is making a strong challenge as the up-coming EPL Champion..he will sure make naive comments such as 'i believe my good freind Mourinhno will rather want my bunch of good-for-nothing scums winning the title..instead of Pool'...

Interesting rumour and to see how he'd fit into the team. Wonder what happened to the talk about Torres? He's be one for the future too.

Nope, you aren't the only one. He's very good defensively but weak offensively. A good squad player. He's still young but he's not first 11. The midfield pairing for me in Gerrard and Mascherano. Even Alonso also cannot make it. Alonso has had a forgettable season, by Alonso's own high standards.
There has been some valid criticisms over the last few pages. It's a fact that our 2 most expensive signings (Cisse and Heskey) had been flops. Our scouting department needs to work harder and faster.

aaah... u remembered the 2 goals by robbie fowler who pushed neville like a rag doll and insulted their supposed best goalie in the world with a cheeky chip ah??? bear in mind, the papers that week were all raving about gary neville being a first choice defender for england and can also cover as a centreback. well, fowler put all that into perspective...

haha... managed to get an autograph with none other than fowler!!! yup, u guessed it right! i didnt even bother to watch manure on tv when they came over.

i m actually sad to see phil thompson out... he breathes and lives liverpool and his passion can be seen evidently!!! pool needs that kind of passion, but alas i guess technically, he is perceived to be not that sound...
istanbul will live forever in our hearts!!! i sincerely felt that pool were lucky to win it, but luck will only favour those who still believe and work for it!!!

haha... like i always say... great minds think alike, but fools dont differ.
dont care about being called a fool but let me say this again. i have said this before in this thread, i would rather wimbledon win the league rather than manure. i would rather everton won the league. i would rather sheffield united won last season rather than manure, even though i hate neil warnock.

But i think with Mascher playing like he did in the CL finals, Sisso would want to move for first team action. Like previous poster said, good defensively, but terrible offensive player, overplays alot.

hahaha nasri nasir sia...
he's samir nasri. very speedy central attacking midfielder who can shoot like lyon's juninho. i tip him to be a big star soon.
another player to mention is toifilou maoulida, also from marseille. he's very swift winger like malouda and can dribble very well but have yet to seal a 1st 11 spot.

i do agree that whenever i see macherano play, he is the man!!! but there r many other teams in the league. different types of players r suitable to play against different teams. in fact, i feel sissoko has the mental ability to stand up to physical players and own them!!! when u need a battler in the middle of the park, u will find no one better than momo in the liverpool squad. yes, i do agree that he is somehow lost his way a bit after his eye injury, but i still think liverpool needs him to be around.
