Djo djo...... No more for me too. Went there 2 months ago and everything was oily/greasy and msg heavy. Everything. A local zhichar boss friend couldn't believe my words ... Went there several days later and concluded the same. Even for locals they had to drink lots of water due to the heavy msg. Their bawang , imho, is (now) just unpalatable.
my favorite bawang are 2 places.
For those who like the traditional dry small bite pieces - kepri mall outer ring of shophouses. It's not posh or even brightly lit. But it's definitely good.
For those who like their bawang to be not so hard and not so dry and slightly chunkier - it's in angrek sari. Mom in law and son stall . Zichar on the spot.
And both locations easier to park too.
Best ayam goreng bawang putih for me is at Punggur, kelong-ish restaurant that is by the sea... Forgot the name of the restaurant liao.. Their steamed scallops also damn shiok...
This Sunday I jio u there for lunch, how about that...?

I still remember the previous trip, i took blue bird from Sekupang all the way there to Punggur, took around slightly more than 45mins and 150k meter fare
Agree the scallop there damm shiok. Another place i heard often is Tanjong Piayu or something like that.. You know where?

Time in Paradise is up. Looking forward to the next trip soon.
Well....the last email the director talk of offering me a complimentary night stay at Batam.
I replied asking him is it any hotel of my choice?
No replies from him after that.
I didn't follow up after that. So I just leave it like that.
No one to blame, it is just my own misjudgement.
I see,thanks for the update.

I dun really plan to a T. Sometimes I just leave it to circumstances.
Like my lunch / dinner are not of fixed time when Im travelling.
I just eat when I felt like it.
When Im on holiday travel, I just do things as and when I feel like it.
Dont think you are in any sort of trouble, just a slight delay. One thing often remind myself,no rush. I try to keep up to the pace of the locals, whereby at most time means i need to slow myself down. But i would prefer to plan my trip, like an itinerary or something so that i know where i am going, have the Maps ready etc. Plans are plans, still i can be flexible with myself,hehehe...eg. i plan to book a girl from MM next trip but if i see better one at New Berry,i will take from there,hehehe...i may have planned to eat at Meximo pub area, but well,i sudden have that urge to eat at Instar coffee shop, then i shall head there.

Similarly, I use Utama Hotel as a focal point at the other area.
Wow! We both did the same thing. Formosa is like a landmark to me,so if you look at all my self-made maps extracted from google, you will usually see Formosa hotel there,hehehe... I have the tendency to mark every area base on hotel name so that i can grab their maps from places from online hotel booking site later.
Those who ask for Keyza address,i can reply them by simply posting the massage shop's name card, but well...many ojeks or taxi drivers MAY NOT be able to find it if one were to show them the address or even name card. But...but if i were to tell anyone here that Keyza is directly opposite Pagoda Hotel front door. I believe anyone w/o taking taxi or ojek will be able to find,hehehe...and behind Pagoda Hotel is Marine Live sea food,hehehe...
Just key in Pagoda Hotel Batam in google search, all of one needs to know about Pagoda Hotel and its map will be shown. And marking these cheong places by hotel names, ojek and taxi driver were unlikely to be able to "tax" commission from their customers,hehehe...

I dont know about you,but for me,if they put 5 girls in a fish tank,i will check out the most beautiful of the 5. But if they put 20 over girls in a fish tank,i tends to be lost,hehehe... so now every joint i go to ,i try to microscope-check their girls by section,hehehe...checking them out on a 5 per section view. Meaning to say,i only see 5 girls at one time regardless how many there are in one joint. Then i go over to the next joint to make comparison, followed by the next next one w/o forgetting that i will get mixed up easily if i have too many girls in my mind.
If i travel to 5 joints,i will have about 4-6 girls in mind by then.

Those who dun even look at you and have that atas look.....even pick liao....wont have any miracles back at hotel room.
If you pick one like that and she turns into a sex kitten inside the room, next day must buy Toto liao.
Girls who rarely shows interest dont really get into my books. I always try to look at both angle of things when trying to pick a girl. Looking for girls that show interest in us were from "our" angle of view. Now,how about we show interest in them with our "looking" at them and get them to show interest in us (thru eye contact). From there we can judge for ourselves if they are "interested". That,i am looking from their angle of views.
An "obedient cute little sex kitten inside the room" is what MOST man is trying to look for in Batam (I think also in every part of the world too).
I remember i used to rate about 20% SYTs give good service in the past in Batam. Today,i rate a little more than 50% SYTs give good service in Batam. Did the ISO standard for SYT just goes up or my experience in picking the right SYT goes up? Hehehe...maybe both.
Batam is the only place i been to that paying higher price were unlikely get me the kind of GOOD services i wish for but instead paying lower does. (i am comparing base on myself over the same girl ,i pay 100k,can get 9/10 service. Pay 1 juta still get 9/10 service)
Batam is getting interesting for me and having Google Map and Translator will make the trip more enjoyable.
Intereacting and talking to locals always will help in developing extra skills.
You never know when this hidden skills will be handy one day.
I studied very basic Melayu before but never use, so forget very quickly.
A little thought comes in mind, all the places i been to in Batam ,i am known to be someone who dont speak or understand Bahasa...and if one day i suddenly know Bahasa,i am sure it is going to be very very interesting,hehehe...

good thing coz you made many of us see Batam in a different light.
Yea,i was surprised. I came across this a few times in Batam. I dont know the group of bros and yet they know me...lol. So nowaday i try to lie down profile on and off ,trying to make myself less predictable. Like right now,i am not going to announce to anyone when my next trip will be cos its a private trip between me and my friends. (believe me,i have received no less than a dozen PMs over the last 2 weeks asking about my Dec trip)
Formosa is indeed harder to book nowaday, perhaps its due to the close holiday season. There are definitely better places than Keyza,so i am still giving Keyza a miss even i heard in this thread that they restore the 40% discount on their massage menu. For me,there is always plan B,plan C and plan D as back up. Just like Kaha,if one day Kaha fails me,i go to An Shun,hehehe...
There used to be no consolidating of key Batam information in this thread (all in a single place). Now that there is,even the newest newbie gets to learn how much to pay for certain things, how to get to Batam and have basic knowledge to fend for himself. Those w/o or less experience bros in Batam gets to be a bit wiser after reading and when people gets wiser and wiser over time and when they in turn share more of their experience ,we will in some ways improve and those with a willing heart will be able to move forward to enjoy better and greater things in their next Batam trip.

I dunno, next time if kenna this kind of environment...most likely I will try to cancel the appt....maybe just pay a token sum to recep.
Not sure whether it works.
Anyway, next time while waiting for gal to arrive...time to do some patting on the bed/mattress to check for mosquitoes.
Another lesson learn.
Bro,you see…in the past I notice whenever there are no customers, the massage shop owner will turn off the air con, hence the mosquitoes suddenly becomes active when you stepped into the room (free meals ma,hehehe). I realize after turning the air con for a while, the mosquitoes becomes less active and seems to go into hibernation mode, hehehe…
That’s my observation so far.

I wish there are more sceneries to explore also.
but it is nice place....not very crowded and can just relax.
the only major disturbances perhaps are those irritating taxi drivers n ojeks.
There are actually more than just Tua Pek Kong Batam, there are in fact quite a lot I have not seen it before. I went thru the Batam map I see quite a few. May I ask,did you visit the Kong Zi Temple when you were at Tua Pek Kong?
I often drop in to both, hehehe…hint : try the temple near Pulau Galang (ex Vietnam camp) next time. Its like a tourist spot but you will notice practically no one who visit this temple prays there. Not much money was earned by the temple caretakers. The temple does have a history.
Thank you for sharing your trip experience, its very useful to me. May you have an even better next trip to Batam.

I remember driving there once. There is no proper tarred road nearing the place. They are actually seafood restaurants on stilts like kelong.
seafood is fresh and nice. Remember having chilli crab, chilli sotong, and other food for two. Very far though.
Hi all. I wana ask if tues evening i go in batam, where can find girls ah. Any suggestions?
The answer are found in this thread.. Spend some time reading it and you will be rewarded ..
