Thanks Cecilia. Wedding gowns are one of my favourite. Only thing is they are quite hard to put on. Although once you put it on, you don't feel like taking it off.

Mine is the old type with zip all the way. That is hard enough to put on after the hoop skirt and I guess that the lace up variety should be even harder.

It's quite ok to put on and remove with some practice.

Haven't tried the lace up version so far. I have this gown and another red one both are zip types. In the pic, this gown is already a bit loose as I have lost some weight compared to the time I bought it 10 years ago.

I see. Another advantage of lace up design is the gown is much more fitting.

Ahh... I see. I don't have much experience with corsets. I used something called a waist cincher once but it was quite tight and uncomfortable. Do you have to wear a hoop skirt with your gown ?
