Just returned from HCM.

Visited Catwalk KTV @ New World Hotel.

Quite a disappointment I must say.

Quality of girls not bad, however they do not allow anything more than abit of boob grabbing and light kisses. That's it.

Room charges and 2 jugs of beer came up to usd105.

Girls tips usd25 each, with an additional 600k dong extra that my friends and I gave each girl.

Mamasan tip another 400k dong.

Waitress tip 100k dong.

Counter girl tip 100k dong.

If you ask me, totally not worth it. I had a much much better time in Siem Reap.

You need to go experience once then you will know is not worth it...

for me never been there for past 7 years...rather go cheap and good fun place...only seniors will know which local ktv is fun...with lots of syt too...

Vietnam economy is bad...so go there spend more money help their economy...

$200 for some boob ... that's way too expensive. There are plenty of cheaper place in Sai Gon.

Thanks for the self-help info you have provided on HCMC. I have read through the posts and self-help and would like to ask you for some advice.

I understand that Catwalk and Royale are the upmarket KTVs and will be more expensive but the good thing is that the mamasan and girls can converse in the mandarin or english, which is good because i cant converse in Viet.

166 have been raided so i dunno if it is still operating?

Fortune 1 and 2 are slightly cheaper than Catwalk and Royale, am i correct?

Since i will be staying in the Pham Ngu Lao area on my visit to HCMC, i understand that Catwalk and Royale are nearer while Fortune 1 and 2 will be about 10mins cab ride away.

In your opinion, for a group of 5 guys who dont speak Viet, will it be better to visit Catwalk and Royale or Fortune 1 and 2? For these places, do you happen to know any mamasan i can contact upon arrival?

Tips wise, i read that some places charge 120k per hour for the girls, 100k-300k tips for the mamasan, 200k for the manager, and 100k for the waiters while places like Catwalk charge 500k for the girls without butterfly. Are these charges still the market rate?

The LT for girls from these KTVs are in the range of 2million to 3 million, am i correct?

Massage

Massage wise i think Dai Nam and Vien Dong will be the most convenient for us. Which of these 2 would you recommend? Ticket price 120k for standard room, 300k tips for the girl. 500k tips if in VIP room. Is this still the market rate? Will the girl shower with me in the standard room or only in VIP room?

Looking forward to hearing from you soon. I used the search function to get all these figures so just hoping to get some advice on whether these rates are still applicable. Any additional advice will be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

in my opinion,Catwalk is a place where ppl bring their clients for entertainment..price for drinks is quite normal but gals there have "golden pussy"

Those honest enough will tell you never to visit the places mentioned in your post.

I have pmed you some places to go for KTV. I don't own any of them.

Depends on what / how much u drink, your bill including fruits, snacks, room, all the crap will be 3-5mil vnd. NOTE: never ever let the girls order food no matter how much they pester. Food can almost double your bill. If they must eat, give them 100k vnd and ask them to buy themselves.

Tips should be as follow:
Mummy 300k
Waiter 100k
Girls 300k

Any amount above that is up to your own discretion.

Takeaway is between 1 - 2mil vnd for ST, 1.5 - 3mil vnd LT
