Yes, you are probably correct in guessing that there are probably hidden gems in the New Territories; depending on which border you're close to, Yuen Long and Sheung Shui are pretty well populated with Walk-ups. A lot of the gals at these "close to the border" locations are actually PRC gals from across the border doing business (Illegally) using their border crossing permit and then commuting/going back to Shenzhen to live a "normal life".

And oh, of course there are also the true HKID card holders who operates here for its remoteness to other parts of Hong Kong whilst living their normal lives in their own parts. Heard it said that quite a few PRC mongers also love to monger at these locales as unlike in the PRC, Hong Kong walk-ups are totally legal and they can get their jollies off without having to worry about being nabbed by the LE. And as I said previously, Hong Kong sex service prices, especially with how the RMB had been appreciating, represents pretty good value - even for guys from the Mainland!!

Hmmmm.... that says something about Hong Kong these days don't it! And NOT quite favorably either!! Sigh.....!

On the other hand, Hong Kong is tiny and most parts are very easily and conveniently reachable on our more than adequate public transport system - so I'd say you should just explore the rest of Hong Kong and avail yourself of the best that your new home has to offer.

And Yes....tea dance...bring back memories to me too....at the Tonnochy or Giu Tai (forgot the actual name) followed by a tryst at the Heng Fa motel behind...yes...good memories.

I gotta tell you, I really don't do much by way of partying in Hong Kong these days - preferring to do so across the border and not having to worry too much about being spotted, and only monger occasionally with the walk-up or hotel walk-in gals. To me, the Hong Kong KTV's are really past its sell by date and only some VERY high priced ones (from what I hear) are still worth it. And a lot of these uber-luxe places are only accessible by way of introduction by known members or high rolling regular customers.

The one at the Emperor Hotel in Happy Valley is a particular favorite of people in the entertainment industry and at the same time, OK accessible WITHOUT introductions....but way over-priced. The one at Coda Plaza on McDonald road, supposedly the best available in Hong Kong and very exclusive/only by introduction....the last time I heard....has closed down! The TsimshaTsui East ones well....they're now charging sitting fees by the hour and take out pricing starting at $2,000 ++. Then there are the smaller Korean/Japanese style KTV's around Causeway bay and the Korean gals would flit from room to room and one ends up spending too much money, not really understanding what they say in Korean/Japanese and...with blue balls!!

See what I mean by the Hong Kong KTV/nightclub scene as being a bit of a waste of time and a big waste of money?? Especially when this kind of entertainment is so much better and cheaper in Chang Ping, Chang An, SZ etc?

Yes, I'm in the cheer-leading squad for Hong Kong - but the Nightclub scene in Hong Kong has really gone down and I really couldn't endorse this type of entertainment too highly any more.

Been to those "Member Only Clubs" liked there's one @ Regal,Causeway Bay that even Superstar J Chan will in the other room.Still there ? Heard there's another one located @ Mid Levels High End Apartment ? U need to arrange ahead for the Gals...and of course the Big Spenders or VIP Members will get the Best of the Best !!! So maybe tis one reason why HKners or Expats will avoid splashing crazy monies !!! Another reason will be with all the retrenchments sp of course no more Biz Entertainments !!!

Pretty girls will always follow the money trail. In the good old days, HK$ was favored over RMB. Now it is the other way round! I think that explains why most of the girls are over their used by date when they work in HK.

No...I think the high end designer shops are all here to stay...and catering to the Mainlanders who are about the only customers nowadays!

No I've not been to the KTV at the Regal - many years ago used to go to the pub down in the basement - good freebie action there then! BTW - even Jackie Chan is now based in Beijing i/o Hong Kong LOL! But the KTV you mention - at the Mid levels - I think you're talking about the one at Coda Plaza (Corner of McDonald and Garden roads) that I wrote about just now and that I hear is now closed.

And the sauna at the Grand Hyatt - you mean at the adjoining Convention Plaza apartments - right? You sure it was called Galaxy? I can't recall 100% but I think I always referred to the place as the Dynasty or ?? I used to go to it a lot as I have a lot of friends who always stay at the Grand Hyatt/New World hotel (now Renaissance) and a few who lives at the Convention Plaza apartment.

This sauna DID have the best gals/service, but that had been many many years ago and I THINK it got shut down when the Marriot took over management of the whole complex a few years ago....In fact I'm pretty sure as I didn't see it still there when I was crossing over the podium garden when visiting one of my friends still living there last week. Sigh....!

The Sauna at the Royal Garden Kowloon is one place that's still OK/offering higher end service/gals.

Yes strip shows in Hong Kong are nowadays limited primarily to these Velvet Curtain bars which are notorious for chopping carrot the unawares. Oh, some locals still go to these places but armed with full knowledge of all the ways that they can screw you i.e. forcing you to buy the over-priced "girlie drinks" (actually 2 prices for these - one that the punter thinks he agrees to and another much higher priced one that he eventually gets billed for), stuffing multiple "drink chits" for the only one drink which the punter thinks is being stuffed into his drink chit container (which he thinks he's watching over at all times!!), promises of "more" in the back rooms, whilst pumping him to buy the girls more drinks, way over-priced take out fees...which gets further inflated when the punter do go out with the girl etc etc.

So yeah, I'd say it would NOT be a good idea for the uninitiated and nice guys to tempt fate by being goaded to go into these bars. You're very likely to be slaughtered/save your $$$'s for when you go to LOS, PI and other SE Asian countries where such activities are more prevalent, less carrot chopping going on and way cheaper than in Hong Kong. (Heck, all these bars only have LOS/PI gals anyway!!).

And oh..yeah, spend what you save from not going to these places by patronizing the other fine establishments, services etc in Hong Kong. LOL!

Yes...looks as if we DO have similar favs from the past. But I gotta warn you, I no longer do much mongering/carousing/partying in Hong Kong, and mostly limit myself to furtive visits to Walk-ups/hotel walk-ins whilst in Hong Kong.

And no matter how pretty the last babe that I bonked...I can vaguely remembered because the next one was even better !!! Yes.... the good ole days....when one could go on and on and on partying...and screwing....and ....HEY...WAIT A SEC!!! We are NOT that old are we?? We can stilldo it and we can still enjoy it...so that's good enough -right???!! LOL!

And yes, your question about SG and Malaysian gals at the Novotel (was NOT the Novotel then, it was Century or ?? PLUS they'd also use a few other hotels) - you really are showing our age aintcha...coz that's BEFORE the internet and these gals were named "High Clock Gals" available ONLY via a few Pimps/mommies manning phones. On top of that, one even needed to be "Introduced" or go through all sort of rigamarole to get to even speak to these pimps!

They were so popular as prior to this, the only other viable source of girls who would meet our standards would have been sourced at the Nightclubs....at a minimum of HK$3,000 ++ whilst these hi-clock gals were made available at under $1,500!! The walk-ups at that time was in most of our estimation, only for lower class mongers and old pervs who would need to scour the tiny Ads in the "Yellow papers." Mongkok/Yaumati - the same thing - too low class!!

Yes please give me a bit of notice prior to your next visit to Hong Kong - it'd be a hoot!!
