Didn't know abt the fire until that morning at breakfast,while reading Jakarta Post.Don't know if the SPAS n DISCO there is affected. I really hope not.
Went to CJ's at 10mins to 2am,crowd was exiting.Took a cab to htl and on the way cabby recommended me go see gals in hse.Went to two hse but didn't see any that was pleasing.Price fr 300k-400k.
Artiste, singers n models 600k-800k (which can rise to ard 1mil rp)
was somewhere else; which I didn't have that amt of money at this time of day so didn't bother to go.
Time now was already close to 3.30am and was getting tired. Decided to call it a nite and took a ride to htl.
At the htl, I found out from the recep. that Jakarta was nw not only saving energy but also claming down on entertainment.Well don't know how true this is cos sometimes laws here can be exaggerated.Wow I just wonder Bangkok had past laws like this,n now Jakarta is doing it.Where else can I go in the wee hours of the mornings next......my only free time there is....SIGH.

Anyway. Was at Afterhour till 11 plus and then went over to ZEN... Okay lah the crowd.... No spot check hehehe....

Then brought my Guest to Block M at about mid night and was quite quiet ya.. Some bule playing cards and so as many girls... Anyway... My guest saw one he like and I just pull her out of the place. Check her body myself abit.,....hehehe... Went round looking for CD before dropping them back at the hotel...

Understand my guest only pay her Sin 50 the next day...

More suspected drug dealers apprehended

With a stepped-up police campaign, more drug dealers are being taken off the streets of the capital.

The head of the Jakarta Police's drug unit, Sr. Comr. Carlo Brix Tewu, said on Thursday the number of dealers arrested went up 34 percent from 235 in June to 314 in July.

"Aside from the dealers, we also arrested over 850 drug users in June and July. We hope these arrests reduce the circulation of drugs in the capital," he said.

Over 70 percent of the drug dealers and users arrested were between the ages of 10 and 27, he said.

During the two-month operation, police confiscated 170 grams of heroin, 208 grams of marijuana, 84 grams of shabu-shabu (crystal methamphetamine) and 83 ecstasy pills.

Carlo said his officers had already arrested hundreds of drug dealers and users in August in a series of raids on nightclubs and discotheques.

He said the nightclub raids had led to the arrests of over 100 suspected users and traffickers, adding that officers also confiscated 286 ecstasy pills and 7.1 grams of shabu-shabu.

Carlo said the police had handed over the case files on most of the suspects to prosecutors.

All of the suspects will be charged under Law No. 22/1997 on narcotics and Law No. 22/1997 on psychotropics.

"It is now up to prosecutors and the courts to give them heavy punishments. We hope the punishments will have a deterrent effect, discouraging drug dealers from operating in Jakarta," Carlo said.

Police have also taken steps to teach young people the importance of saying no to drugs.

The police have organized the Fun Without Drugs program, holding events in nightclubs each week.

Two weeks ago an event was held at the Embassy Discotheque in West Jakarta, and last week at the Millennium disco in West Jakarta. This week a party will be held at Dragonfly in South Jakarta.

Despite the success in arresting drugs dealers and users, police have been unable to touch the sources of the drugs, arresting just one suspected producer during the campaign.

Carlo said the police were having trouble because most of the drugs came from abroad.

"Although locals can now produce drugs, there are not many local players in the business. We are still tracking them down. Most drugs come from abroad. It is difficult to watch all of the entryways into the country," he said.

He said the police required assistance from other agencies, including the immigration office, the customs and excise office and the Navy, to stop the flow of drugs into the country.

Hi guys, i'm in jakarta rite now. Jus wana share my experience last night (Thursday 1 September) at Hotel Borobudur. FYI: No sex, just a dairy of what i went through. Don't be hatin..... up me points if u share my pain.

Heard bout the raid that's going on in Jakarta, so i was pessimistic about the current nightlife in sincity. i went to the bar that has live music on the 2nd floor around 9:30 and it was dead. there were at most 10 ppl in there incl the band. So i talked to the bartender and he told me to come back in couple of hours. so nothing better to do and went back to my hotel. when i went back to the bar around elevenish it was still the same. so i just sat there, order some drink and apparently i'm not such a great drinker anymore cause i was half wasted just after a beer and 1 cocktail named balagan banteng??? that was recommended by the bartender.

Sat there till midnight and decided to check out the discotique 2 floors up. it was even deader (there's no such word i know). there was NOBODY!!. so finally i drag myself one floor down to check out the karaoke. mind u that i've never been to a karaoke b4. so i just walked around the place, nobody seemed to mind me and i made small talk with one of the staff there. he took me to the showroom. there were less than 10 chicks, all "pribumi". i saw one gal who wore beige dress, look kinda cute. i ordered her but when she walked out and said hi to me, i saw that her teeth was brown (yes brown not just yellow) like a rotten fruit. i thought about an excuse for a moment and told the staff to cancel it.

So i asked the staff, where are all da girlsss? he told me that usually it's quite down around 12ish and the prime time is 5 till 10 pm where ppl get off work. Being the first time at karaoke place of course i didn't knw that. i thought the later the merrier. but he told me that are couple of cute gals but they're all workin. so i told him that i'd come back in an hour.

Walked back to my room, tried to shake off my headache from the cocktail and fell asleep for half an hour. gave it a thought and decided to check out the place one last time. first i went to the bar, opened the door but didn't go in cause it was the same. went to the discotique, about 5 ppl there, no chicks. so walk down to the karaoke and saw a cute gal on the stairs. she didn't look at me and she was talkin 2 somebody on her cell so didn't wanna bother her. i thought that there must be lot more good stuff at the showroom. on my way to the showroom there were couple of chicks said hi to me but they weren't my type (to put it midlly). but when i saw the showroom there was 4 gals. i thought fuck i shoulda stalk dat cute gal. so took the elevator down. went to the bar for final drink and met those chicks who said hi to me. one gal was very aggresive, asking me to join her friends, hugging me, and one of her friends even ask me to order champange that cost 300,000 a pop. dat bitch. lol. but luckyly the bartender was smart and told me bout the price. i didn't say anything but he told her that there was no stock. so i stayed at the bar for about half an hour, tried to avoid that group of chicks.

it was a really slow night overall, maybe because it was thursday night. but being a newbie in jakarta it wasn't such a good experience. oh well, better luck next time. anybody knows anything to do at hotel borobudur and the surrounding pls let me know pls. thanks 4 reading.

Even people like me who's been to Jkt countless times for the past years, I was also "lost" few weeks ago, wondering where to go around 12am on a Sun nite, it's slowly becuming a dead city.
