writing to ST Forum...what do you intend to say...that you knew she come in here to work illegally...ICA follows a procedure dealing with single lady (from any country) coming in to Singapore...ICA is trained to see who is coming in to tour and who is coming in to work illegally...few things must meet before allowed in...1) return ticket to Vn...2) at least S$1k to spend during stay in Singapore...3) Hotel bookings not near G area or stay in friends house that is not near G area...

Another point is never queue at a female ICA if you dun want to take any risks...

If VB cannot answer the ICA questions...likely she will be send back...btw, daily there are quite a few VBs sent back as aliens...

I'm a Viet girl. When I checked in at Tan Son Nhat Airport, the staff asked me to show the return ticket. Then I passed. And when I arrived to the Low Cost Terminal, I didnt be asked any questions. But one of my friends who accompanied me, a guy, didnt be allow to come in. The staff asked for the return ticket but he didnt keep it in hand. Then he just changed to other counter, and the staff in this counter allowed him to come!
So u can c the return ticket is the most important here. Not only a gal needs it to come to Singapore, but also a guy!
And cash or hotel staying, I think they r nonsense. I didnt be asked to show them, but if I was asked as u guys said, I couldnt go through. I had no a penny of cash and booked a hotel at GL!

Thanks all bros comments but I still find it ridiculas to refuse entry of a tourist. For example if one of the brother here go VN being ask to go back. How you feel? You will feel fustrated cos you are going there to spend $$$. I will find a way to write which all faults will go to ICA. Nowadays the ICA officers are so unfriendly. It is not the 1st time I see them unfriendly. I travel almost every month to different countries in ASEAN when I saw some of the officers talking to those gals from china, thailand, vietnam and philipines, their tone was so bad. Firstly, not all the gals from these countries speak English and Mandrain. If they cant speak properly, the officers tone change. Damn sarcastics. When they talked to ang mo so friendly. KNN.

1st the gal got a rtn air ticket, 2nd she got US1K, 3rd she put an address where her friends stay. She can't speak english that why she being send back. Her others friend able to speak little was allow entry to Singapore. WTF. Nowadays this ICA officers are all old bird. Shouldn't they upgrade themselves to be bilingual?

Cant really understand how ICA works? I got a friend whom she accompany her gf back to singapore was send back to VN. My friend (An auditor fm PWC) hoping to talk to the head of ICA was asked to wait. After 2hours of waiting, the ICA officers asked the Cisco to escort my friend out. My friend get so piss off that he told the Cisco he want to see the Head of ICA but the head of ICA still don't want to see him. He asked the Cisco to help him photocopy of her gf passport for him, but the ICA officers do not allowed him to do. That very next day my friend went down to ICA offices and talked to officers. You know what is their reply. Ask him to apply the forms 1st so that he could act as a gaurantor. My friend got so fustrated and piss cos this form need a photocopy of the passport. I think he make a scene at the ICA and later I think of the head came down and see him. This officer understand his situation and apologise to him. He even ask the terminal commander wrote an apology letter to him. For his gf next visit, the gal got no problem entry at all bcos my friend show that officers his name card, last drawn salary, income tax and address. He told tat officer "I'm a senior manager of PWC and draw a salary for more than 100K plus a year, you think I going to play with my future and let someone he doesn't know well to stay at my house".

Luckily that Officer understand if not my that friend sure get a lawyer to find out why his gf being refused entry and why the ICA officer ask him to wait and refuse to see him later. Additionally, why cant he gaurantor her at the point of entry since he had did that for at least 3times.

Wow not all VBs are so lucky like you...your wearing attire also helps if you dun wear sexy outfits but rather wear decently...don't mean that you are lucky once means you can be lucky second time...it's all up to the discretion of the ICA officer on entry...anywhere let you in once and you said I said nonsense...let me tell you young gal that you come more often then you see what happens lor...

hahaha....the key word is guarantor...if you are willing to be a guarantor for your VB gf to come in then pls write in and apply to ICA...word of caution...dun let your VB gf get caught in any vice or work illegally...guarantor may be implicated...

ICA works according to procedure and never wrong to refuse entry if they find anyone suspicious...
