I'm Viet. Living in HCMC. That time I go travelling to SG n met him. He is a young cabby around 30. We still keep in touch, but he refused to talk much about him. He has no self-confidence and usually blame on his job, his age or sth like that. So I hook to this website, firstly to try to understand u guys lifestyle, secondly to hope that I could bump into someone know him or himself.

My story is not interesting. I just want to explain why I am here

Not necessarily.. My Hanoi girl is equally good in English and it seems that most girls from Hanoi are quite good in English due to the education there.

Although I commented that it's not hard to believe that Vietnamese's English can be good, I do echo your thought here that this one might not be real.

Does a Vietnamese refer to himself/herself as a Viet? I don't know if it's common but it's like a Japanese referring to himself as a Jap and i think they view Jap as offending. So, Vietnamese <=> Viet??

Good in conversational english, and also good in written english? If yes, then really i must meet up this type of gals. Really admirable them.

I just summarize my story, not go to details. Last week I came to SG just to c him, but found some hopelessness. I'm not afraid to share my story to u guys, but a bit a bit feel some shy haha

So u a viet? Which province u from? Can you reply in vietnamese words? Give a short introduction of yourself in vietnamese words (with signal) and the people will believe u. How do you write vietnam in official term, where sgp is Republic of Singapore?
