ya HDY Palace cheap n hv 24hrs porno channel...off peak period only 510baht...standard room iz big n clean...1 of my fav hotels...
for peak or super peak period best iz walk-in to enquire n book rather than book fm agents cos most charging double rates during those period...last month went there during deepavali...HDY Garden Home walk-in rate was 630 +(300 P.holiday surcharge)...agents outside selling double at 1200baht...
i think only HDY palace hv AV channel...heard Kosit also hv but not sure...other good budget hotels r Grand Plaza(650),Sakol(600),Sakura GV(810)...

We probably reach there then book liao. I was offered Grand Plaza by Davis tour. I will check the rates if too high sure not book from them.

the lobby quite nice with a garden feel...room big n clean abt the same std as HDY palace...n with american breakfast for 2 also...

If u run out of choice in Hdy, you may try your luck in Mae Nam Hotel, next to Wang Her Restaurant but be warned that the room sucks, so chances are high that you still can find rooms there.
But it has one advantage that no other hotels have, most of the PRC in Hdy stay there, so if you are PRC cheongster... their room could be just next door

The other day I read a post by one of the brothers here which mentioned about this idea of taking a break in KL before going to Hatyai. I think it is a very very good idea!!!!
My question is what timing of the coach do you take from Singapore?
I assume it is grassland or one of the operators from Singapore. How much is it?
When I reach KL, where do I get transport to Hatyai. It would be great if I could reach KL in the morning, spend a few hours at a HC to relax and move on in the evening so I don't have to stay one night in KL. Also since I never been to KL to cheong, where do you guys suggest I cheong?
