Typical male, I had no malicious intentions but I was merely following my instincts of see pretty girl just follow.

When I came to my senses, I was next to a betting shop. There wasn't any long Q but still have punters and gamblers alike waiting to try their luck for tomorrow's draw.

The sign shows $Xm draw.

Without thinking much, I took out $5 from my wallet.





Gog: auntie, system 7 1 please

Glancing at my ticket, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and special 7. Ha.... where it will be so easy to win. I wasted $3.50. Chucked the ticket into my wallet and forgot all about it.

Came monday and Chong ran to me excitedly when I stepped into the office.

Pauline started to laugh uncontrollably. Chong was snickering like some minion.

Fast forward a few weeks later, it was lunchtime with the company folks and we were seated at Ya kun, stirring my coffee while hearing Chong talk about buying toto, 4D (he even places bet using my car number regularly - doh!).

While he was yakking, I was clearing my wallet of receipts, cards, and I chanced upon the forgotten ticket I purchased that night while following the lady in white. Now I think back, it feels a bit eerie... lady in white? Hmm...

I was going to throw the ticket but just since I was super free, and not keen on talking about gambling, I checked the results of my ticket.

-pause-

I folded the paper carefully, the same way I folded it the last time. Casually, nonchalantly, I slowly put it back into my wallet. Trying not to draw anybody's attention, I stacked up my used receipts and useless stuff from my wallet into the drink's tray.

No fucking words or sounds entered my ears. Staring into blank space.

I started to walk fast and left the team behind. I went back to office, packed my things and went into my car.

Zoomed down quick and reached Selegie side. Heart beating fast, I walked to the one place we all wished to go in our lives.

No prizes (pun intended) for guessing where.

It cured my stomach aches, and suddenly I was in another realm. What just happened? Lady luck was shining upon me.

Driving home in my car, hard as it was, keeping quiet about this is always a good start.

Don't over spend, don't throw it away on women or cars, but think ... think further, what should I do with it?

It was an agony having to keep quiet, not share, and yet it was going to eat me up. I persevered.

Investments? I'm not good at it. what can I do to make better use of my cash?
