I married a Vnb here. Just want to share on my experience. I knew her thru my friend wife. So the type of friends she has is very important. If they are good influences, definitely she will be good. Also need to learn each other language vice versa. Google translation is not accurate as it is just literal translation word for word. Vn culture is definitely different from Singapore so do understand from her POV also. Need to set expectations especially on money as Vn see singaporeans as rich as our currency is strong. They will expect you to help out with her family. Hence the need to set expectations. I would say I am lucky because my wife helps me to save a lot and also motivate me to work harder

1 marrying a Viet is not a downgrade, neither is marrying a Singaporean wife is an upgrade. The grades are not determined by the colour, race or nationality. If this analogy of one bro here is correct, then what if a bro is marrying a Vietnamese billionaire's daughter? Is that up or downgrade
2 as mentioned by most here, where, how you met the Vietnamese and for how long you have known each other? If communication is an issue, what attracts her about you? Your good look, your wealth or the possibility of getting a marriage to save her from poverty? This list can go on and on.
I have known some foreign brides who are good and committed. The question is always how and what the relationship was built upon.
