yah..i oso thought the same way..i only tot tat oni after ROM then can applied for LTSVP...i guess he is referin to extention of visa...

clear the 1st step liaozz..me now thinkin abt LTSVP..hopefully the officer...not kuai lan type...

long and tedious process....

Not Indian, but a stone face Chinese lady.

Actually, she is a PDMM. Or should I say its a 6 mths SVP ? $60, if I didn't remember wrongly.

No wonder lah, so your ger is a PDMM, holding the LTSVP. The fee for extension is $40, multiple-trip visa is $20. So are you her local sponsor now? If yes, next time when you ROM, continue to be her local sponsor, be prepared with the paperworks required, especially her divorce translation documents, education documents and household booklet.

As for her kid, not to worry as the kid already has his passport and student pass extended up to 10 years if he/she study in a government school.

i have read from the start, now seem a bit blur, too many reading...

here are my doubt....
i m M'sian with Sg PR, i have a Prc gf.
she works in the same factory as me, as operator for 3 years already,
and she holding WORK PERMIT, her current contract will end Feb 07.
she plan to quit and go back China holiday after that.

1. if she marry me, she able to get PR, because previous thread mentioned Work Permit holder difficult to approve.
2. she studied in Collage in China b4, and own a mechanical diplama ( she said her father bought ),
but when she join here, her agent change (fake) to electronic diploma. and destroy the original copy,
so, when applying PR, what to put in her Educational Level ?

if we get marry now, what things i need to do ?
1st : go MOM to get approver ?
2nd : go ROM ?
3dr : when can start to apply PR for her ?

what if after her contract end, she goes back China,
what should i do to bring her here ?
1st : marry her in china 1st and bring her back ?
2nd : apply LTSVP ? when to apply ? if the period expires, she need to goes and come back ?
3rd : go ROM ?
4th : apply PR ?

if in both cases, can not get PR, must keep on re-newing LTSVP for her ?

she went back china twice for home leave and visit m'sia regulary ( untill passport Full ).

my education level : Adv diploma in Mechatronic ( from M'sia Collage )
PR since 2002
work in same company for 6 years, work as technician.
gross 30k over,
pay taxes yearly...
sorry, company acknownledge letter for which process ?

WP holder a bit tough..heard from someone tat u gotta submit the request to MOM... b4 u r cleared to submit the necessary documentation to ICA.

b4 the application to ICA, is best to register on line for a date for solemnization. as this will show ICA u r sincere in the application..even better if u request your parents to be your witness during solemnization, this will at least support your case is genuine.

for her qualification, use the one she is holding at the moment, i.e. dip in electronic, since her record in singapore shown tat she is a graduate in dip in electronic. if the govt body find the info not tally, they will hv doubts about her application..

it will be better if u married her in SG rather than china, saw some incidents, whereby they married over in china, and when request for visa from ICA, they might meet wif some difficulties..

wif regards to the travelling to m'sia..they may ask you for the reason (s) for her visit..just be trueful wif your answer..u also can tell them tat she follo u to visit ur parents in m'sia..just to make it look authentic.

as for ur education back ground plus your annual salary..guess should not be much problem...they may need ur CPF statement, IRAS Notice of Assessment, an employment letter from your company, original and phoyocopied copy of your highest qualification to confirm your status..

but u hv been workin in your company for 6 yrs..is quite a good sign, as they look out on how stable r u in your job..at least they require u to hv a stable income if u r marryin a foreigner...

Aiyoh banker.... why so funny de? Fake mechanical diploma cert for your gerfrd and the agent fake it again in order to process her work permit? She can pass the test this time, doesn't mean that she will pass thru' undetected when she submit for the SPR in future. This is my fore-warning for you. Both department doesn't rely on each other and they don't share the common database.

Q1 and Q2 ~ If you wish to get married while she still holding the work-permit, [is she holding the S pass >$2.5K or the normal work-permit <$1.8K? Because S Pass holders who wish to apply for PR can apply to the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) and will be assessed based on ICA's PR criteria. ] anyway I doubt she's holding the S-Pass or the employement pass, if she's not, she need to seek MOM controller's pre-approval before heading to ROM to prevent complication of matters.

Q3 ~ You can apply SPR after marriage, with her holding the LTSVP.

Q4 ~ If her contract ends and you still did not get ROM, you need to apply a visa for her to stay for short period, this way you can still plan to get ROM during this short span of period. Because when she returns, ICA may/may not approve her to return, even on social visit, or holidaying.

Really an "Old Bird" ... spot on lah ...

She has all her document translated before she came over with her kid, so no problem on this issue. 1 big "discount" is that she didn't even managed to complete her Primary School Education. Think its gonna be tough when applying for SPR.
