All along, I've always been taught that anh is to refer to guy (taught by friends, VBs and even the video series that I was following)

For gals, it's either em gai (younger) or chi (elder).

Tomcat007, haha... i see! Most of the time, I gotten those that can speak english or chinese. Recent one can only speak n sms viet. I figure it out that I had better pick up the language to make life easier.

Normally, when you managed to get one that can speak and sms English, the temptation is that you will just keep talking / smsing her in English. It's only when you kenna one that is monolingual then you really feel the need to pick up on TV. Some of those I cheong with feel that it should be the other way round, i.e. the VBs should be learning our language instead of us learning theirs. And in the end, I kenna criticized as being "hao lian", know a bit and want to show off.

For me, I feel it's a 2-way traffic lah. If you can talk their language, sometimes can get closer to them vs other bros.

（河内法新电）媒体昨天报道，越南决定把承建首座核电厂的合同，交给俄罗斯一家国营核能公司。
　　据日本媒体引述业内人士透露的消息说，这是原则性的决定，其结果还需拭目以待，看来是俄方在扩大战略合作协议下采取了主动。

　　《日本产经新闻》的报道指出，承接这项合同工程的是俄罗斯的Rosatom核能公司，越南国营电力公司曾要求这家公司进行核能计划首阶段可行性研究。

　　报道说，日本一家政联企业一直希望赢得这项工程的定单。越南工业贸易部证实了这项报道，但俄罗斯大使馆的官员则表示，官方未作置评。

第一阶段核能发电力为2000兆瓦

　　知情者说，第一阶段的核能发电力为2000兆瓦。越南总理阮晋勇预料很快批准这项计划。阮晋勇去年12 月访问莫斯科期间，越南国营电力公司和俄罗斯Rosatom签署了备忘录。但他并没有具体说明越南正式邀请俄罗斯合作，为越南建设首座核电厂。

　　越南也同莫斯科达成军购协议，将向俄罗斯购买潜艇和战斗机。据一些人士分析，河内的目的是要和中国相抗衡，以巩固本身对南中国海一些岛屿的主权要求。
