Sing Movie looks good,screening everywhere in Batam...

Family movie for the young and old...but no write up for this one,hehehe...a movie that you will need lots of pop-corns and drinks.

There's another Indonesia action movie screening all over Batam...Headshot.

Seems to be quite popular in Indonesia.

Oh,this one is in Bahasa but with English subtitle tho.

Enjoy the movies...whether you are on a cheonging trip or a family trip.

Usually during CNY,senior citizen distribute ang pao to me,hehehe...received 100k rupiah ang pao in 5 rupiah denomination from a bro in this forum during CNY 2015...hehehe...until now still havent been able to spend finish. I use it occasionally as a souvenir for newbie bros who joined me in my newbie group trips tho.

I also received 20k rupiah cash voucher in ang pao form from my hotel i stayed in during CNY 2016.

Helmet always inside room or around fullpack,never at the hall where i kept my combat ration. "SBO ,helmet,rifle" must always be on standby condition for standby bed,hehehe...

Base on a ratio of once or twice a month per trip over the last 35, for the nearly 3 years,no such issues in harbor bay ferry terminal *touch wood*. In hope to keep this record till the end of time. Only witness a short time detention for checks (where the luggage was thoroughly checked) with my own eyes to their local Indos traveling via Oceania ferry (from Malaysia,i think) from another immigration custom entrance.

This is a special entertainment village call "Sintai". (name after a shipyard nearby) that cater for the shipyard workers to drink, eat n release (mostly ST)

Like last time, in Batu and Babi...
it is enclosed n guarded.
And for some reason....they are "licenced" to operate all year round.
Even during the Ramadan 3 days break.

Last Ramadan...
I took the blue angkot.. (Labelled:Tg. Uncang)for an hour ride, alighted at a junction after Fanindo, before Sintai shipyard.
Paid 12k for an Ojek to tour the village...

There are guard post at the entrence.
and they collect entrances fee.


As I was there during day time
it was deserted.

Did saw some cewet but was refrained from taking photos.

To support Ah Hock(kidding). And go to Bogor to see her kumpong.

In JKT I stay in Manga Besar 6 area.
Where I see many roadside drug stall.

Selling sex enhancements products.

Also stalls n restaurantthat that serve snake (live corbra also) and monitor lizard alikes.

My hotel was just walking distance to some booking joins and entertainment complexs
But...you know.

I'm sure you would know already, but don't ever buy any drugs from those roadside stalls; all the drugs are fakes/forgeries.

If lucky will end up with headache. If unlucky, end up LJ ineffective or worse, dead.

My regular money changer quoted me at 9355 for today. Rupiah now very strong vs SGD...

Very likely that you will only get around 9300 if you're new and don't have a regular shop to go to.

As always,buying stuffs for those i knew,trying to earn some ferry tickets to batam and to cover my Batam trips (so it become close to FREE). After that,head over to Tua Pek Kong to do some "returns" before this year ends.

The trip didnt go too well for me this time round,already had a bad feeling beforehand but well...i will have to make the best out of a not-so-good situation.

The usual road towards Tiban Tua Pek kong was under construction (as above),it was blocked by vehicles pouring sand on the road,and i was stuck on the above road for like 20mins before we figure out another older road...which was previously closed when this one was opened.

Making the best out of a not-so-good situation,if the main road cannot be driven/walk thru,i take another road. I reach the same destination ,just a little longer time. Everything dont seems to go on smoothly...but what can i do? I use some common sense,turn back and get nothing at the end of the day or i can work another way around a situation to reach the same destination.

I eventually reach my destination with a little longer time. This event taught me a lesson,sometime we are so complacent (relying too much on technology,on others,thinking i am better than others,or more experience etc) that we forgot to use our survivor instinct ,tweeting it with a little common sense. A solution is usually simple if i were to stop for a while to think. Work around it when the main road is block,hehehe...

To the next destination,Tua Pek Kong Windsor later on,maybe today,maybe 2morow. A promise is a promise which i learned from a good bro this morning.
