My next trip would be more adventurous. I wanna go by plane to Surabaya, then with train, bus or whatelse back to Jakarta via Jogyakarta and Bandung. Maybe August or September.

Yes, about 20 times in total over the past decade but most of the time its on the first train in and the last train out. Still, there are 2 types of chiong places that I went to whenever I overnighted; namely the "chicken village" behind Hotel Trio on the left side of the road (something like Jln Garunda) that leads eventually north to Jln Sukajali. The other is the fish tank massage places in the town area, quite close to the "chicken village". My apologies for the not-too precise description. I'll take a note of the places the next time I go down again which should be on the middle of this month, according to my current schedule.

Sometimes I like these contrasts, weird adventures and then back in the 5*hotel. So I did this stroll.

If you worry about clean, safe etc, then forget it. Otherwise you can have good action there. I wouldn't recommend it Sporians.
