Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Something is not right about our team...
Last times our players have shown they have heart, team spirit and fighting qualities from goals down to winning games. Our Captain Super G who tackled like a hardworking horse. Now, our team can't seem to raise to the occassion when needed. I wonder why? Must be the excessive and unneccecary rotation. |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Should have had sex with my wife instead of wasting 90mins watching a display that was a disgrace to a club of such history, stature and standing. Today's STimes headline for the article said something like "Man U Win Battle of Red Giants". No way the 13 players who played were giants. Only 2 played their hearts out; Gerra and Momo. The rest were bystanders probably they were in awe of the 76,000 that watched the game. The other 3 G's - Gonzalez & Garcia should be put on the first plane back to Chile and Spain respectively. Zero heart, zero passion, zero ideas. Even with a 5-man midfield, they cldnt defend agst Scholes! I dont freaking understand! Enough...back to screwing my wife...

The Polish keeper Dudek should be given a chance. When he committed some error, he was dropped. Its time to give him a chance. Maybe its bcos that the coach is Spainish and Reina is Spainish and some of the non-performing players are Spainish as well. Therefore they are not dropped. Maybe favourism is in play. |

Players from the Spanish leagues are so soft they should all fly back to Spain. They should be dropped like players from the other nationalities too if they are out of form. Alonso, Garcia, Nunez, Reina, Morientes, Aurelio, Josemi etc... They dun seem to have the pace and physical strength for the EPL. Alonso is a shadow of himself this season. It's important to have faith at this point in time but blind faith is like rolling back the Houllier years. Rafa, give us some reason to have faith in. The 3 points Jadoo make are so crucial. |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
DEAR ALL DISENCHANTED REDS FANS! YOUR SENTIMENTS ARE WELL SHARED..
In all sundries, Liverpool's quest for a unprecedented premiership title is down and over with. Any premiership teams, to take a reality check of their performance credentials, would very much lie on how they match up with the trilogy of the three dominant forces of premiership this decade-Arsenal, ManU and Chelsea. Let alone winning the premiership, if team or teams cant get the better of these three big ones, they should be resigned to admit-just not good enough. Cos any team that do not play above these current kingpins of premiership, they are likely to whimper and dissisipate in thin air. And to our beloved Liverpool, the reality checks found that the current squad just not strong enough. Losing to ManU & Chelsea meant they are not above the cut and just have to work harder. The match against ManU last night had exposed so much of Liverpool's down trodden and sadden truth, the players are not hungry, no sting and bite in attack, lack penetration and sharpness, shortage of creativity and no cutting edge in attacking and defending in unison. The team just simply collapse. To make worst, another howler of a cardinal sin-where was the marking when Scholes was left unmarked to ghost pass two defenders to guide the ball home. The wingbacks were all vulnerable to attacking wingers who could puncture and dribble our Finnan and Riise at will! Now the next big question: I still wonder why Crouch was not played in the first place? Crouch is the player on form, but even him could not do much in 20mins against the might of ManU. Crouch is a player that needs at least 20mins to warm up and soak in the pressure before he could deliver. Rafa should know best. Playing a half fit Kuyt against a well organised ManU defence was as good as playing without an outfield striker who can pierce opponents' defensive walls. Also baffle me was the exclusion of Bellamy? Gerrard not playing in his most damaging role-only till late? Garcia-what on earth was he doing when ManU defenders and midfielders had him for an easy meal? Carragher and Hyypia both leaked in gapping holes for ManU to exploit and punish? And certainly not replacing Garcia and putting a lost and confused Pennant were the only trumph cards Rafa possessed? What the hell is wrong with the Liverpool team? They hardly troubled Van Der Sar except a lunging and desperate tackle from Crouch out of frustration to cause any ancious moment in the ManU goalmouth. The truth is always hurting-Liverpool just do not have the calibre of players to play week in week out in the ever demanding premiership. The manner in which Garcia, Pennant, Gonzalez, Kyut lost their footing and balance after much shackling by ManU defenders were enough to intimidate them and tame them dorcile. When Liverpool's reserve which feature some first team players got beaten week in week out I realised this season is a false dawn. When the reserve cant perform solidly and cement themselves ready for the big picture, I knew Liverpool was making the numbers and just doing their best, but not at best to challenge for something special this season. I wonder how much longer we have to wait-not to witness Liverpool finally capture the premiership title, but to evidently see by our own eyes, they could perform solidly week in week out to convince even the fair weather fans the reds are the one to beat. Unfortunately, truly, this Liverpool team are but long bid farewell to any glories this season. It looks like this season would be a titanic struggle by Liverpool just to stay in the top ten, let alone qualifying for CL unless and enormous miracle out of the ordinary proportion takes place-Liverpool is as good as just lament and hover around the mid-table this term. Am I too harsh on my beloved team? I guess with an abated breathe we sleep over it and lest forget it! Sigh..... But to Rafa, the manager has to be blamed for too much rotation for the good of the team. Fresh legs or not, now Liverpool's season is a mere relegation battle at hands and not challanging trophies or leagues and I am sure, there would be many fresh legs abound. To any bonafide fans, we know to stand a chance to win any game, is to always field your fittest, strongest and hungriest players... YNWA Wukong68

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Actually Liverpool is my 2nd supported team other than Arsenal.
But Liverpool has not been a disappointment this season. It has been a disappointment every other season. True, they won the Champions League (That was few years back after an inconsistent 1st half compared to 2nd) Liverpool has a 'disease'. I don't really know what disease they have. A disease that makes them inconsistent. Managers? Players? Their budget seemed limitless too. What I can say is every player that goes Liverpool will suffer from inconsistency. Sooner or later. Kewell, Cisse, Morientes, Traore. Even Jose Reina so impressive in his 1st season. I don't know what these players are doing. They can give a top notch performance this week and next week, they play like division 2 boys. I believe its a winning mentality that they do not have for all games, but only big games (that is maybe why Liverpool fare well in cups) For league, 38 games, every game has to be played like its the last game they played. Like it or not, Chelsea (everyone's most hated club) has this mentality. They play every game as its their last. Even though I hate Chelsea but the way they win games and stick it out even when their 2 keepers is down, u got to agree with what I said. Liverpool players do not possess that passion. Why is Liverpool so inconsistent? This year only? Or last year? Or before that many years? This kind of thing happening for years. Rafa Benitez is Spanish. So can't blame him when he likes to buy Spanish Players. But he forgotten that many spanish players do not make it in EPL, only the rare few, like Fabregas, Gaizka Mendentes, Xabi maybe.. But the rest are simply not there. Arsene is French, he loves to buy French players and that is they perform and play to their standards. Thus I simply don't understand why Rafa buys so many spanish when spanish players do not play the EPL so well. Look at Houllier after leaving Liverpool. He is managing Lyon so well. Is it his fault that Liverpool don't win championships? No. It's the disease that is rooted in Liverpool's dressing room. Squad rotation is one thing. But the one who rotates must be good. When Chelsea had so many stars, they still don't play everyone and u don't get to see Terry, Lampard being played one match and next match got benched. U don't bench your good players. Look at Arsenal. They stick with the same squad that plays CSKA in the 1-nil defeat. They beat Reading 4-0 away. Arsene could have changed everyone. Its just an EPL match Look at Liverpool. They change. Suka Suka put Crouch, Suka Suka take out Gerrard. Suka Suka put Garcia. What is there in Midweek? League cup lah.. But this Rafa chose to rotate his team, say they are tired. Even this disease is affecting Rafa. Anyway, from what I see, next match Aston Villa will be laid to rest.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Bro Wukong,
Crouch is not a out-out striker and he need too many chances to score. There is not a better choice than Kuyt as a lone striker. I feel that Riiser and Finnan are 2 of the best defender of LFC although they might be off form during the match with ManU. Do you have a suggestion for their replacement? LFC is not out of winning the EPL yet although it seems to be a very difficult task to accomplish at this moment of time. LFC has always stay in Mid-Table at the beginning of the season for many seasons.Losing away in Big matches is very common for LFC since the 90s. It is sad to see Fans like you condemning LFC at this moment of time. I feel that the main problem with the LFC team right now is to get the players to play in their favorite position and replace those that is under-performing. YNWA, Jadoo . YNWA Jadoo |
