HAPPY N PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR to everyone. Negotiation w them is always tough when u are in disadvantage situation. They will make sure they slice off as much as possible from u so won't be far from the get out of jail amount. But getting the police invloved is the worst thing, so bopian lanlan still hv to nego. I stayed near Eruptions n walk to n fro even at night so far ok. Never trike or jeep unless rush for time. For me ,taking a trike daily for so weeks is some sort of small robbery as they always overcharge. In few months, I heard 2 incidents of the whole jeepney robbed by gunman passengers after the vehicle leave the terminal after midnite. Most probably aiming the salary of the bargirls after work. Yes really alot depends on luck. Like just a while ago, received a text that 100rmb was topped up to my China SIM. Thought it's a New Year prank but after checking it became a gift from somebody who misload. 9 days more to land in Cebu. Preparing lots of lingerie n used cellphones. Re: NEW ANGELES CITY (Pampanga, Balibago, Subic and anywhere else in PI)
FYI, July is the peak season for typhoons (hurricanes are called typhoons in this region) as the North-Western Pacific Ocean surface temperature is HOT enough to churn out typhoons.
According to Wikipedia: On an annual time scale, activity reaches a minimum in May, before increasing steadily through June, and spiking from July through September, with August being the most active month for tropical cyclones in the Philippines. Activity falls off significantly in October.

Re: NEW ANGELES CITY (Pampanga, Balibago, Subic and anywhere else in PI)
it is sad and nothing happens, when robbers hit on Bar girls, siblings of OFWs who are leaving as they pick up cash from bank / WU, and sometimes the victims get robbed / shot ..
sad state when the criminals don't mid going after going poor as well ..

Re: NEW ANGELES CITY (Pampanga, Balibago, Subic and anywhere else in PI)
just sounds like you're expecting roofs and cows to be flying around in the wind when we're talking about typhoons...
since AC is pretty far in land, it just looks like a lot of heavy rains with winds... well that's my understanding anyways.... my first time there was during the tyhphoonss, it would rain heavily every day... which was fine by me as it was just another excuse to stay in "The English word typhoon could have originated from Persian توفان tūfān (storm), (which is pronounced "tufoon" in the Bandari dialect of Persian, spoken on the shores of the Persian Gulf [2] from the verb tūfīdan (Persian: توفیدن/طوفیدن means "to roar", "to blow furiously"[3]) - a cyclonic storm, a cognate of Sanskrit "tanun" meaning high or agitated winds. It also appears to have contributed to the Chinese word 大風 dāfēng meaning "great wind" as spoken in southern Chinese dialects such as Hakka and Cantonese. " "A tropical depression is the lowest category that the Japan Meteorological Agency uses and is the term used for a tropical system that has wind speeds not exceeding 33 knots (38 mph; 61 km/h)." |
