You getting married is to give your gerfrd and the newborn bobay a marital status. Can't give you an assurance on her stay in Singapore.

You can get the answers if you go personally to ICA Social Visitors centre and ask to be intereviewed on your gerfrd case.

Is it possible for a PRC to marry in different provinces??

Eg. a hei long jiang girl marries a japan guy there. And later she moves to jiangsu province and marry another japanese guy there. The 2 different provinces do not keep records of marriages of whole of China?

Bcos ive heard of girls who have a few husbands in diff parts of china, worries me.

About 2 year ago.. I was having the same problem as you. I have a gf who was caught overstaying here in Singapore and was imprisoned before deporting back to China.

Same as you .. I was devastated and do not know what I can do to be with her. IN fact, I almost given her up but somehow love still keep us together.
I went to ICA to appeal for social visit pass for her but was rejected 3 times in a row. Devastated and frustrated, I went to China and married her over there, after paperwork done with both MFA and CHina Embassy.

After that, I came back to Singapore and on the very first Monday, I went to seek for our MP assistance, bringing along my marriage documents. The MP was quite pessimistic and kept telling me that the chance of her coming over is very slim. I told him I fully understand that but I told him that I am very sure that being a MP, he must have some "connections" to get things done. After about an half hour of "discussion", the MP finally agree to write to someone in MHA for me.

2 weeks later, ICA called me to furnish some details and a very young pretty female ICA officier attended to me. As requested, I gave her my income, CPF & tax declaration, my saving account statement, my company letter of employment and blah blah blah.

1 week later, ICA sent me 2 reply. THe first reply was her eligibility to enter Singapore and the 2nd reply was the pre-approve 6 months LTSVP.

Things went on very smoothly since then, and we are now living happily together. In fact, I just get her LTSVP extended again last week and I am now intending to get her PR.

What I am trying to say is... if you really love your gf.. you must be very patient. If she is really good, it is worth all this hardwork and you will cherish her more when you succeed.

OH yes, 1 very important reminder. No matter how bad is the situation, be honest and never hide or make false declaration to ICA.

Should be MFA, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Please do note that ICA change their reviewing policy frequently, Bro Checkmate's successful case could be some of the exceptional case being approved out of maybe another handful of rejected applications. Do note that during 2003-2005, not much of the reported case of fake marriages, or other unpleasant reports being surfaced in open. Dun pin your hope highly on your case.

Actually it involved both MFA and MHA.

MFA - when i need to declare i am single and not married, I need to go to MFA to get endorsed before going to china embassy to endorse as well

MHA - when my MP wrote a letter to someone in MHA (which I think ICA actually report to them) for appeal and subsequently without much hassle, my wife got her permit.

For social visit of about 2 weeks is possible for the wife's brother. The only next-of-kin who is allowed to stay over a period of time is the wife's mother, for the purpose of taking care of her newborn baby.

Checkmate, you are right. Ministry of Foreign Affairs manages foreign policy and enhance national interest through effective diplomacy.

ICA [Former SIR performed by CED] is a government agency under the Ministry of Home Affairs. But ICA dun issue permits, they vet and issue visas. MOM issue permits.

Hey Bro,

I am no expert either. I am just speaking from my own experience and had also sought advises from the bros here, esp Rof|maoxz.

If convenient, maybe you can give more details about your wife and yourself and maybe the brothers here can advise better.

In fact, I was told by my wife that for girls who were caught and sent to jail will be banned for the certain number of years on a case to case basis. Some may be banned longer, some shorter.... dependng what color form they were given.

In my own opinion, your MP could be a junior one.. so he may not have any contact in MHA and he has no choice but to write to ICA for you which didnt get the right results.

Perhaps you could look for another MP assistance?

only the MP who is looking after the constituency that u stays in will look into your matter...cos whenever u go to meet the MP session, they will ask for your residential address...
