I got aware of this.. thanks for ur reminder. I put e money is at a trusted person tat I always believe. When I got problem, they will be there 4 me. I agree what Bro Ninja_Assassin say coz I got relatives tat take e money ( My mom funeral ) and not returning 2 me. And they deny didn't take, when they r doing collection of money. ( Chinese funeral ). In e end, can't back from them but heard tat they got a lot of accident. ( as in Chinese, cannot take death person money ). Oh... Sorry.. I think I over the topic leh..

under sg law, if you pay 90% for the HDB using CPF, 90% of the sold sum would be credited back into your CPF.

Bro i kena 50% of CPF used for housing transfer to wife and have to cough back the 50% to CPF to make up the shortage before they allowed me to withdraw name from house. Hi bros pls help... I am going to divorce my wife. She's not asking for alimony but what I am worried is that will the court grant her alimony even without her applying? That means women gets alimony whether or not she applies for it. Thank kind bros here for any answer!

Ok... thanks for the answer. Now, I have another question. Her lawyer told her to at least keep the option of having $1 as alimony to safe guard her future in case she falls ill and she's no longer able to work. I am agreeable to that cos she's not stupid either to give up all her rights at one go. Is there a way to prevent her from abusing this option? Can I get a lawyer to draft an agreement to state that she can only claim alimony from me provided she's terminally ill, jobless for xx period of time, financially drained, exhausted and crippled...etc? Is this agreement even reconized by Singapore's court of law? I am a responsible man but just dun want her to abuse the law. I am deeply traumatised and hurt in this whole saga. True colours are all showing...

Bro that is why told you to actually get it down in writing before she get chance to see lawyer, cos any lawyer worth their salt will advise the wives to leave this option of varying the alimony at a later stage. But I don't think you can actually make it conditional...i don't know better you check with a lawyer since now she already engage one..anyway looks like there is a storm coming up for monster...oc wants to increase my maintenance for kid...i am already paying total 900, 750 meant for my kid...she wants me to increase further by another 300...well looks like round 2 coming up since i am not willing to increase so much..

Whatever is finalised now is not cast in stone. The parties can apply for the maintenance orders to be varied at a later stage when circumstances change, meaning if you strike toto she can apply for a share of your winnings etc.

Nothing you can do about it cos you've been screwed by the f*cking Womens Charter.

There is no alimony in Singapore. What you are being asked to pay is wife maintenance / child maintence / lifestyle maintenance...etc.
