Bro Mark is right. The girls at Itaewon tell me that Wang Hong is making them wear uniforms now. They say that its so it makes them look more legit as an establishment. If security is so tight now, what do you think will happen when the 2008 olympics come around? No more playtime? |

Re: KTVs in Beijing
security may be tight for the first fews days during olympic opening, but not the whole year lah. foreigners like to cheong in china so the gong an will probably keep one eye closed.

Re: KTVs in Beijing
I know that loads of gals are staying away from most Beijing KTV this past week. A series of raids were carried out last 2 weeks at most fave KTV's but according to the mummy that I touch based with, this is just a regular process by the police ahead of any coming important dates (Oct 1st). The police needs to show that they are "ëffective" in their duty to the public.
I think this show and tell"" will finish soon. matsuda.san |

Re: KTVs in Beijing
I was staying in China World two weeks ago and this week Monday and Tuesday was staying in Traders. I had trouble bringing the girl from itaewon up to my room on both occasions pass 11pm.
Was told to register my girl companion. Was that that the Gong An is very strict and recently just issued a directive down to hotels to strictly comply to this ruling. I had a chat with the GM of Trader who happens to be a good friend of mine. She told me that its part of the Olympic gear up security. She says that it will be getting stricter as the dates draw closer. Ran into alot of difficulty at China World when the lady friend did not have a China ID with her. Was funny scene though at the lobby. A queue was forming for 'lady registration". Just imagine if you happen to see your friend or bosses or clients in the same Q...... |

What about WangFuJing Grand hotel? I stayed there for over 2 weeks and not once did they bother to ask me to register my "guest."

Re: KTVs in Beijing
Bro, under the Chinese law, all hotels has the right to check and request non-registered persons to leave the hotel after 11pm. this will only apply after 11pm and if you are accompanied by a lady friend. also depends on the management. if you are staying in hotels managed by western mgmt. they will never bother you because this is infringement of human rights. but, if you are staying in hotels managed by local Chinese, they will follow the law.

Re: KTVs in Beijing
HEllo brudders,
I will be in Beijing during 5 - 7 November for a short stop over. I will be staying near Debao Hotel. I think its going to be near the Beijing Zoo. Any brudders happen to be in town during that period of time? It would be good to meet and cheong if possible. With best regards, Alvin |
