i was based in SHA for almost 2 years, & stayed in Taiwan for almost 1 year. currently in bangkok, & will be here for the next few months.

probably i so anti-sinkapore gahmen policies / restrictions, and the so many lau-lan people & "high-class" gals in sinkapore, i find i m much happier / enjoy life / find life much more meaningful than when in spore. i dont really understand it when i hear people say they are sick of china. there is so much more freedom, things are much cheaper, gals are so much more prettier & gentle.

though i was based in SHA, i travelled alot in my work, an average of 3 cities per week, even to europe as well. I had oso lived in ulu places like Wu Dang Shan (the legendary swordfighting novel Mount Wu Dang) for about 5 months. I had oso travelled & lived in places like WuXi, SuZhou, GuangZhou, ZhuHai, ZhongShan, etc, not to mention Europe, HK & Taiwan.

I would say I miss China, and love to stay in China! yes, the pace of working is much slower than in sinkapore, but there is more to life than working so hard & fast! enjoy the environment, enjoy the life while you are there! even you go europe (or australia or usa), you oso dun work that hard like in sinkapore. so brudders, cool down, enjoy life more lah. there is more to life than working so hard & cheong so aggressive in your job / career advancement lah.

talk about cheonging, i was alone when i relocated there, no frens, no relative, dunno anybody at all. i searched for apartment to rent all by myself, even went cheong ktv all alone!!! most people think cheonging pubs alone is still not so bad, in fact, i made some local frens in pubs, & had some flings too!

hey bro, I envy your lfiestyle and 110% agreed with you.
I am so sad to be stuck in Sillypore land, cant go much further, unless for holiday.
Here, work so hard and so stress, every month got to worry about Bills and Bills.

from my understanding, we work so hard, cheong so aggressive in our jobs / career advancement cos we need to do tat, to maintain / retain our jobs in sinkapore, to maintain the salary, if not increment, to Pay And Pay all the farking bills & expenses.

so when overseas, when things are so much cheaper, I cheong every nite oso no problem, end of the month still got no problems saving up some $$$. but of course, life is not all about cheonging like there is no 2molo. you may cheong more initially when you get outta sinkapore, but after a while, you will tone down. cos you oredi tasted the freedom & choice, you can take it easy & take care of your body too.

not like in sinkapore, it's not an easy chance, so got the opportunity, will cheong until as much as you can do!

I LOVE CHINA!!! LONG LIVE CHINA! that's where my ah kong came from

China reports new outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease

China has reported a fresh outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease, with 51 head of cattle affected in the nation's northwestern Qinghai province.

Cattle at three farms in Qinghai's Henan county began showing symptoms of the illness on July 1, and on July 7 they were diagnosed with foot-and-mouth disease, the agriculture ministry said on its website.

A total of 212 head of cattle were culled following the outbreak, while local agriculture officials quarantined and disinfected the farms and the surrounding area, the ministry said.

The case is the third in Qinghai this year, and brings to nine the total number of foot-and-mouth outbreaks to strike China so far in 2006, according to the ministry's website.

Foot-and-mouth is a severe, highly contagious viral disease affecting cattle, pigs, sheep and other cloven-hoofed livestock. It is not usually fatal but causes losses in the production of meat and milk.

Life in our Ah Kong land is full of fun and freedom as Bro 84gunner put it. But there are adverse side too. For those station in China like me, we risk ourselves drinking contanminated water, taking beef that may have come from QH, taking fake medicine when ill, put on drips for simple cough and cold....

well, probably i dun care that much about life anymore, when i left sinkapore. i was down & out, wanted to but cant declare bankrupt, etc, etc.

when I left, i borrowed SGD 1000, and a suitcase of clothes, that is all! and i have huge debts back in sinkapore. I told myself, in spore, i m dying. if i make it elsewhere (china), good! the sky's the limit. if not, i'll oso die lor. whether i die in spore or die in china, i still die, so not much difference. main diference is that i m given another chance, another opportunity in life, to start everything all over again, no frens, no relatives, nobody i know. a totally new environment.

mebbe cos i have nothing, so i have nothing to fear, i oso dun care so much. if the robbers wanna come, you bet i will oso fight them, whether it's 1:1 or me vs 10. so disease or whatever, i oso dun care. u can bet, when i had chicken pox juz b4 the SARS period, I still continued working in the pub as a bartender (in sinkapore), despite all those "pimples" all over my body, until the sickness get too much for me & I juz drop. I was oso tinking, if I kena SARS that time, i oso dun care, I will work until I drop (faint) or die.

now that i m in much better condition, but i still live the way i lived when i initially came here. if i have to die, i have to die. so no point afraid of this, avoid that. though i m only in my early 30s, i have lived a life in which i have tasted, experienced & done all that I had wanted, so if I suddenly drop dead 2day, i oso have no regrets.

I m those who eat by the roadside, squat beside the drain or dustbin, dun care whatever meat, how they are cook, etc.

ya. though bkk (& thailand) has its fair share of fun & goodies, I still miss china! i guess it's mainly the language & culture. i had problems communicating with the local folks, even having meals was a difficulty during my 1st week there, cos i was staying around chatuchak area, where there's no sign-boards in english, and the people ard cant speak any english!
