Allow me to share my thoughts with regards to this matter.

That is the casino's greatest weapon; the impression that the surveillance cameras can see everything. More often than not at the roulette table especially, misplaced bets are reported to the pit managers and half and hour later, surveillance team will come back and say the camera couldn't catch the angle the punter was at. Benefit of the doubt is given to the punter, and is paid off for the full amount.

Dealers are actually allowed to mix with fellow punters. However, after a shift, dealers must all report back to their staff room. If the said dealer doesn't have a shift afterwards, he or she will be free to roam around. That said, dealers can't sit/watch a game being dealt.

I beg to differ, no offense bro. These surveillance cameras are there, and I believe they are WORKING cameras. Once at a roulette table, there was a dispute between 2 punters (as to whose winning chip), resulting in a commotion. These 2 punters were ask to go and view the camera's footage and only 1 came back to the table to play. Obviously the other punter was mistaken about 'his' chip.

Unless you are working inside and have privy information to this matter, my belief is these surveillance cameras (hundreds of them) are been monitored.

always happens to me at roulette since I randomly throw cashchip on numbers..... as not coloredchips, and also that there are ppl throwing cashchips...


I dont think sian them from outside casino is a prob, afterall one of my friends sianed and married one. Theres no rule over friendship when not at work
and to be caught cheating is another matter altogether.

Yes, many of us pang dang ppl wont want to touch girls, but after playing so long..... and eyeing the dealer sitting there hours with me (until next shift)buay tahan leh. was querying if any bros out such happenings, so maybe can try also.

Seriously, making friends for dealer when not on shift is okay and long hours at tables small head rule big head, need to relax small head also, thus far all the queries.

I saw one quite pretty one at the roulette table (GWH), her face damn chao whole day. Think cause roulette damn shag... cannot stake, no gambling feeling, still need to stack the chips after each round and payment, unlike dealers at baracat or blackjack still can "play"

I think if she smile, I will dio roulette with 5-6 go(stakes).

The surveillance cameras are working, but it can't capture every angle. I'm not disputing that the working conditions of the cameras, rather the strategic placement of cameras. The cameras inability to be all-seeing is often overlooked. More often than not, benefit of the doubt is given to punters.

I blame casino programmes such as Las Vegas and those at Discovery Channels for the lasting impression of the omnipresent CCTV's. LOL

Some dealers think the punters are a bunch of idiots gambling in house edge games with their life savings. They think they're the best card counters in squeeze (baccarat) or blackjack as they have spent countless hours dealing.

And yes, I have experience working as a dealer in two casinos (Macau and Australia) which explains my understanding on this particular matter.

For long run I think blackjack.

Luck is your only chance of winning at Slots and Roulette as they both have high house edge, which means you'll lose in the long run.

For games of 'skill' like blackjack and video poker, supposedly in the long run, the luck factor will even out. However, whether or not games like blackjack is beatable depends strongly on the number of decks, cuts and certain casino related rules. A certain casino in Aus has recently implemented a new rule making it compulsory for dealer to hit on soft 17. Realising the possible backlash, they have only made this the case in the lower limits area. This rule does not apply to the restricted area (high limit). Go figure!

Luck determines the card you're dealt and knowledge and skill determines how you play them.

Oh and I'm no longer a dealer.
