We are lucky that Man U, Arsenal (to a lesser extent) and Chelsea drew this weekend as well. So our draw is less painful in a way. Just saw the Chelsea-West Ham match, Chelsea sucks as well. If only Carlton Cole scored in the 91th min! Cech pulled off an unbelieveable save.

I think Chelsea is in deeper shit than us. Without Makelele, they look vulnerable in central midfield. Teams go to Anfield to play for a draw. Teams go to Stamford Bridge to play for a win these days. West Ham surely did that today with brave, attacking football. Bellamy was fantastic, just like Crouch has been recently.

All of us know we have problems. We are weak at left full back, striker (keane) etc... But we got out of jail on many occassions and are still top of the table. Let's keep faith and hope for the best, although I know after watching how we play, it's difficult... It's shaping out to be a strange season where the top 4 looks weak and this season is ESPECIALLY bad for the heart.

knn some how this kind of score line always make me think there is some other sinister forces at work...just look back at the last few other results where all the big four teams were suppose to win and in the end the same results for each of time where neither had an advantage over the other...

TBH, his crosses are pretty alright. If Torres was playing, he'd have put away at least 2 certain goals from Dossena's crosses.

But I can't say much about his defensive duties though. Needs to badly buck up.

actually, i agreed with u in my previous post that keane would have been ineffective due to his playing style. i also agree that bringing on el zhar and babel would stretch the defence but i would have preferred that benitez had taken off one of the fullbacks, preferrably dossena and go for the win with an extra winger. gerrard would then have more space to come in from deep.

i dont like manure very much, but liverpool should learn from their manager. he managed to brainwash those petulant kids there that they r the best, and thus would always risk a draw to go for the win. attack is the best defence in this case, as the opposing attacking players would fall back to help defend if liverpool goes for an all-out attack. no need for benitez to play it so safe. out of that 4 drawn games, liverpool might win 1, draw 1 and still can afford to lose 2 and still be on par. 3 points for a win was precisely introduced to encourage teams to go all out for a win.

Thing is, Scum and Arse both dropped points last night. Maybe Chelsea won't but this season is a difficult one for the top 4. Of course at the end of the day we got to take care of ourselves and not wait for the others to do us a favour.

i dont think benitez said those words about needing the other teams to fall by the wayside for liverpool to win the premiership. so, i think he agrees with u. as do i. the team is good this year. i like the fact that even arbeloa was screaming at mascherano during the game. there is fire. but then again, i still do see some liverpool players jumping out of 50-50 tackles. and mascherano must find his bulldog form back and dominate like he used to.

Performance wise, the Hull game, higher tempo in the first half, was a step up from the flat games against Fulham and West Ham. Anyone disagree?

was watching it from a pub and manure fans were cheering initially... i alone cheered louder than all of them combined when pool fucked back. it was a roller-coaster ride, if that's what u meant. luckily, i stayed for the tottenham game... as i was the only one cheering!!!

but liverpool should have kept up the tempo and tackle the hull players all the way to the loo!!! damn, it is one of those times when i wish for a robbie savage in the team!!!

obviously, u havent seen kevin kilbane. dossena is not the slowest fullback in the league, he just cant defend for nuts. but his crosses can qualify him to be a very decent left winger. just when liverpool thought they have gotten rid of riise. haiz...

compared to dossena at least riise got speed and stamina thou he got a lousy right foot...but riise will forever be etched as one of Liverpool heroes for me if only becos of his goal from a thunderbolt free kick against the manure team a few years back...
