beware of Aston Villa, who may b 1 of d surprise packages tis season. they had juz beaten W.Ham 1-0 tonite. d result allowed them to overtake MU to
3rd position! AV is now onli 4 pts away fr leaders LIVERPOOL, who has a game (potential point dropper) in hand.

AV's fine run muz hv served as a gd wake up call to d big 4. drop too many pts, n they may juz find AV replacing them in d top 4.

AV was missing carew badly last nite. the 1-0 scoreline was actually unfair to west ham but it is football. glad to see that bellamy is having a new lease of life at west ham. he was running riot last nite, although let down by his strike partner.

but liverpool canot keep looking over its shoulders all the time to see who is there. pool needs to beat arsenal to inject another fresh adrenaline shot to get them thru the holiday matches unscathed. and to pull away from manure so that their stench wont affect the pool players. with enough daylight, we can count on the chicken-calling petulant kids to fall all over themselves. in my humble opinion, chelsea r more dangerous. cos they like liverpool, r not playing well. yet they r just 1 point behind, and despite the fact that the have only picked up 1 point against the big 3.

FT Arse 1 Pool 1

wakaozzz ... si bei tu lan!!! i guess most Pool fans out there muz hv been disappointed by d result. we shd hv finished Arse off when Ade was sent off. there was ample time to find d winner. furthermore Arse oso lost their captain earlier on. instead Pool seemed to play worse, losing possession easily while Arse gathered strength. we did nt hv many chances other than El Zhar's header.

Babel had a lousy game, was often robbed of d ball. I think benayoun wd hv done a better job if he played. Bright spot was Insua, who was quite brilliant. delivered several in-swingers which were quite dangerous. thk matter of time b4 he gets into d 1st team.

i guess Arse fans wd b d happier lot. at least they did well playin with 10 men n w/o fabregas. at least they r still in (weak) contention for d title.

Now d ball is back in Chelsea's court. hopefully Everton does us a favour tomorr.

ya lor,we should have bring on an extra forward when Adebayor got sent-off in the earlier part of second half. and be more adventurous and go for the 3 pts.

i wonder why benitez kept persisting with lucas?
i thought he was slow, often mistimed his tackles and gave the ball away lots of time. He should have been replaced immediately when adebayor was sent off.
babel looks off the pace as well. shld have brought on benayoun who played well last week. indeed frustrating to watch esp the last 20 mins

Beats me too..
Benayoun is a season player with loads of experience and yet Lucas was still preferred....

Well done Keane, coming thru all those critics and score a fine goal.
Hope there is more to come...

hahaha!!!

right on!!!

but then again, 1 good goal doesnt make a season. moreover, he always does well against arsenal... but what comforts me last nite is that beside the goal, keane is doing what he does every game :- harassing the defenders and generally making a nuisance of himself.

i always wonder if Lucas is Rafa's gan er zi (godson). despite his below par performances, he's still constantly in d starting line up. Benayoun or d fresher blood like El Zhar n Insua r easily better than him. agt Arse, he had nothg much to show for, other than a fierce shot which was on target. other than that, he lost possession too often.

Don't know which games some of you guys were watching. Insua and Lucas played very well against Arse. Has it simply become fun to make them scapegoats game after game?

If anything, I was disappointed we didn't press more when we had a man advantage. But overall the draw was a deserved and fair result. Not many top teams have done well against Arse this season if anyone remembers.

Ya, you are right. Why put in youngster when we have experienced player in that position... Hmm, like for example, our italian international Dossena or our injured (i think) Brazilian Aurelio... Oh yes, we put in Insua cos Dossena is so bad! At least Insua is sweating his guts out for us. I think he will come good in a season or two.

We are top at Christmas. Does it mean we are Winter Champions if this is Serie A? I know a lot of us not happy at our form but at least we are staying top of the table, a position we've not been able to reach for countless seasons. I'm happy at our position in the table. Are you happy too?
