Hi, after several years of trying to rekindle the love with my wife, I failed and we decided to file for divorce. So that she can pursue her true love and I can settle my card debts.

One thing I would like to know is
1. Since the house is about 2 years away from 5 years MOP b4 selling, what is the best way to keep the house yet can divorce after that? Is separation the best way?
2. We bought our house on the cheap (200k). Assuming that the price is higher when we sell, how will the monies be distributed?
3. Can PM me a budget lawyer?

Wth 5 years of marriage and after 3 unsuccessful attempt to divorce (her friends managed to talk her out), I am really tired and decided to throw in the towel.

The only reason she is still with me is because I could feed and provide her and the 2 kids, though I barely earn enough to make ends meet. There is no more love between us and its very sad that she would not stay for the kids to provide a family.

After reading almost half of this thread, I need a good powerful lawyer to fight for custody of the kids. She did mentioned that she want the kids and my money with no visits to my childs when she talk to her friend about the divorce.

1. Seems like separation best option can date letter of separation back a year or two to make it through on the minimum period for separation.
2. Normally the case but unless she gets greedy and decide she want more but normally its a 50/50 split
3. Can't help never believe a thing as cheap lawyers...a certain fame law firm that does cases like production line claims to be cheap but in the end still cost me a bomb...i had to pay for the cost for both parties in the end...even when i subsequently varied the order to lower maintenance, still end up paying for both ends...something which lawyer said was not the norm when it comes to variation or court order..

So end up we guys get screw left right centre no matter what the outcome..

Well she can try but honestly doubt if the "family cock" will really approve it. They recognize that for the beneficial development of a child upbringing, they even approved joint custody something which my then fuck up "family cock" judge told me was idealistic but not realistic. Advisory from u guys on below is very much appreciated. I'm a total newbie in these stuff and reading all those long posts simply make me even more confused therefore kindly provide straight forward answers / advise on below.

-I have been married for a year with a foreign wife.
-She is not PR, just on long term pass.
-We do not have any sexual intercourse since marriage
-We have been living apart for the last 5 months
-I believe she is working illegally in singapore without a work permit.

And so these are my questions

1) Can i fill to null/void the marriage?
2) Can i re-marry if the nullity is successful?
3) If i file for nullity / divorce / separation, can she contest it?
4) If she contests it, would i end up having to pay maintenance?
5) Do i have to get her consent for any form of separation?
6) What if she is UN-contactable or disappeared?

She is on LTVP.... who was her sponsor? If you were the sponsor, you will also be held responsible for her working illegally without a work permit.

Depending on what you want..... the fees can range from $1K to above $10K.
As to which PI is good.... that is subjective as many PI firms outsource their contracts to freelancers with some firms sharing the same pool of freelance investigators. Some of these freelancers are current serving police detectives / investigators out to earn some extra income.
