I can't relate MOT DAM to be TOM YAM.

I found that many Vb have spelling mistakes on those critical words.

Nope. When she told me that, I understood most of the words except the last 3 words. I knew that she was talking about instant noodles but I couldn't understand 'thay mot dam'.
