- the comfort that the couple doesn't share with you, their ease of their situation which brings about the freedom
- the moments when they are together, it's not as bad as imagined, it works, just not enough, and both are ok.
- both are not determined to have that kind of textbook traditional couple life. the yearn is not naturally there, and they've not met another partner outside which wants that. In the first place, both aren't like that, so even if one does meet another like that, it'd be a natural deterrent
- both still can see a bit of hope in it. one day when the 'fun' runs out, at least, it's still not alone.
- both doesn't think they deserve a perfect life, just take what one can get. and at the moment, the current is even better than good.
sometimes some of us are just very very broken. it takes another partner, equally broken, not so focused on self, to continue to endure together. me and my wife previously, also left right center affair at work and outside mutually, even though our sex was still so frequent and good, she still went back to an old indian lover to get analed... we even had to separate for a while for my health. not easy.
