I booked a return ticket for 2pax to DMIA from Changi.
CP cancelled my SIN-DMIA and offered me an alternative flight 2 days later.
However the next day is my return flight from DMIA-SIN so that means I reach DMIA @ 8pm and fly back next day @ 12pm. I tried to reschedule my return flight to 2days later but was told I had to buy another ticket as CP can only change the cancelled flight but not the return trip.

So my dilemma now is I can only stay 1 night in AC unless I buy another ticket....

Reason w them first, if bear no result,
Ask to schedule your cancelled flight to AC earlier instead of later, so u hv additional days stay in AC.

They claimed it was aircraft maintenance issue in their email so they had to cancel the flight.

My original flight was 2 days earlier. Looks like I have to cancel this booking and get my refund.... to go and buy Tiger tickets.

How much do you guys pay for your tix?
I checked the fares for London to Clark / Manila and they were killers.
I'd rather party in Pattaya / BKK as its much cheaper.

Unless you buy the insurance, no go .. atleast that was for me.

LCC have rights to adjust flights, reschedule flights, and cancel/merge flights.. as per their T&C !

They offered me 3 options....

a) accept the rescheduled flight;
b) refund of the ticket; or
c) book another flight for within 30 days of the cancelled flight.

If I take options a) & c) then I will need to buy another pair of tickets from them. At the moment option b) looks more appealing to me. Has no one ever gotten a refund from Cebu Pacificair?

You will get your refund.... many many months later which they credit into your bank account after deducting some fees.

For foreigners I do not know how they gonna refund you as you will need to furnish an account number from a bank in the Philippines.

Cebu Pacific once cancelled my flite to Clark too, just a couple days before I was supposed to leave. Fortunately I checked my email, and saw another itinerary. I thought maybe they sent me a copy to remind me my flite was coming up soon as I had bought the ticket 3-4 mos in advance, so I didn't really look at it but again luckily something caught my eye and I found to my great surprise that they had booked me on the next flite out, which was about 3 days later. The thing is, they didn't really tell me what my options were, or ask me what I wanted to do. They just sent me a revised itinerary.

I sent many emails to their customer service address, but got no reply. Finally, on the day I was originally supposed to leave, I called their Philippine phone number and fortunately a rep finally answered. I had to call several times, which was expensive long distance, because they put me on hold and I would run out of air time.

I had asked them if I could switch to the flite to Manila, which leaves about the same time. Told them I didn't want to waste my precious vacation time sitting at home. Finally I got a new itinerary by email. I printed that out and rushed to the airport and just made my flite. They didn't charge me the difference in fares, even tho the Manila flite is usually more expensive.

The reason is that they decided to permanently cancel that particular flite, and the first day was the day I had booked my flite.

Which is why you pay by Credit Card, as they refund faster to credit card.

I have done a dozen refunds on Sea Air, all within 3 days of cancellation of flight by Sea Air (Sea Air Domestic Flights though)..

And once, just once, when I wanted make Cebu Pac fly me on the day they had cancelled the original flight, they pushed me to go on the following day evening - and when I demanded that I fly on the same date or atleast the previous day evening - they refused.

No mood to fight with them, and took their offered flight and and when I RTB, I called in Sick leave

So to Dirk Kuyt: No .. never managed to negotiate a refund ..

Oh, well, when you call Cebu Pac Helpline, you feel like telling them to stop the formalities and pleasantries and address the problem, when a customer is calling from overseas .. they insist you hear the pleasantries running for 10 minutes before asking what your problem is and then telling you to 'please hold on sir, I will get a supervisor for you .. ' or something like that ..

Yes, I get refund in credit card about 2 months later. Or now they use a credit account for you to pay next booking.

I think if you speak tagalog, you will get results.I think you speak English with the officer, he may not understand what you say cos he learn "parrot" english. Joke Lang.

But I guess your suggestion may not work, as once I had a friend call, for her ticket issue, in tagalog, and the conversation went super polite and pleasant and more pleasantries .. I give up lah ..
