yes, she is a work permit holder previously, that's why we went to MOM to get approver ( after read thru this thread ), but MOM return back all the documents that we had sent, and a letter stating no need to get approver from MOM, just need to file a notice in ROM.

$60 for each stamp damn damn expensiv.

work permit holder...then i dont know why they return liao....all I know is that you need to get approval for marriage with a work permit holder...same for my brother's case...

MOM dun approve or endorse if u can marry ex permit holders, but only ICA will reject or approve when u apply for short term visiting pass, PR for your newly married bride citing that u din get approval then u will realised the approving body is ICA not MOM.

I think you are wrong....it is wrong to marry a work permit holder or ex holder...just only last year, there is a new on such thing...a Sing gal marry a work permit holder and never ask for approval...in the end they got into trouble...

furthermore, my own brother marry a ex work permit holder...also need to apply...same for good friend who did the same thing....

10. If the foreign worker is a female foreign worker, the foreign worker shall not become pregnant or deliver any

is already married to a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident with the approval of the Controller. This
condition shall apply even after the work permit of the foreign worker has expired or has been cancelled or

There are no marriage restrictions on S Pass holders. They can marry while in Singapore, including to Singaporeans. While Work Permit (Foreign Worker) requires MOM's approval.

Normally they will ask for your educational certs, payslips, and even CPF statements of acount, and of course credit cards or ATM cards for downpayment.
