Bro is not sarcastic...is basically the fact.
Amulets made from temple is a way of how the monks return to the public who donate and do merits to the temple.
Or you can say the wearers are closer to the Buddha's teaching and will be reminded to do good deeds often.
There is one High position Monk mentioned about this. Quote- If the amulets are so powerful, why it cant stop the passing of the monk who made the amulets?
but as time past, it becomes a trade business and is consider an Art in thai culture. Is like how the french people appreciate oil paintings...

I am not too sure bec not a collector. A childhood friend is a collector of Thai amulets. He is a Christian. The reason of his hobby is he love looking at his collection. He stored the amulets on glass cabinets mounted on the walls of his hdb flat.

He also has a series of daggers from past Asian cultures. Few times I visited his flat I felt uneasy I mean it gave me the creeps. Sorry! guys I cant upload his collections.
