No need to be confused, just ask the questions and received the info. Bro Aakumu is very helpful, so no shock if other bros here refer you the him. What about me? What do I have to gain? Quote:
Thanks you for your info, the guide did a good job. I just have a question, is it normal to have other people in the sex tour? Not a problem, but was under the impression that it would be a private tour, but it was fun, more people makes it wilder. Cheers. |

Re: Jakarta's trip
Hi bro,
What do you have to gain by not letting people to open their sight, let them decide for themselves. Do not understand why you are so busybody calling people clones and saying bad things about people. You must have lots of free time on your hands to keep thrashing people around. If you have nothing to add or help the bros on this thread, please be quite. Please do one better and provide good info. My two cents. |

Re: Jakarta's trip
I'm in total agreement with some other guys complaining about this "aakumu" character pitching his sex tourist business. Lame man, really lame. And also, if you are going to describe clubs and hot spots, it would be a good idea not to rip-off another guys site. The descriptions you gave of the clubs like Millenium, Club 36, Alexis, etc. are all from a French guys site who is a long time reviewer of the nightlife scene in JKT... good site, good info, seems like a cool guy. to all seeking first hand good reviews, go here for his top 100 (in english).
The Best Nightlife in Jakarta: Bars, Discos and Clubs (Jakarta Nightlife, not a sex site) I don't understand why the moderator of this site doesn't boot this scammer. I joined to share REAL info but it's totally aggravating reading this stuff from this aakumu and his other alias'. thanks. |

Re: Jakarta's trip
Hi bro,
From the Jakarta post. Visa-on-arrival services We travel to Bali once a year for holidays and we also hate the arrival area. Long waits for a visa are bad enough but the most dreaded part is the baggage carousel. Baggage handlers grab your luggage even when you say no, walk for about four meters and then demand $A5 per piece for luggage they managed to wrestle off of you. Customs officers turn a blind eye to this and you feel you cannot make a fuss or you may end up with your bags completely searched, which then means more wasted time and a very unpleasant start to a holiday. WENDY Melbourne Indonesia must emulate her ASEAN neighbors, e.g., Malaysia and Singapore, on how they welcome tourists. It won't take much as Indonesia has numerous breathtaking tourist spots, but yet it is undermined by immigration's red tape. DEWI RANIA Jakarta In the early 90s and for the following 10 years or so I enjoyed traveling in Indonesia for periods of up to eight weeks at a time. Visas were issued free of charge for an eight-week period, similar to Thailand's system. The introduction of payment for visas was initiated by the Indonesian government; I'm not sure if it was tit-for-tat against other countries which did not reciprocate free visas or whether it was to increase revenue. I do not have a problem paying for visas; however the duration offered for a casual tourist is minimal and also corruption by officials is always waiting on the sidelines. I have stopped traveling to Indonesia even though I love the place because I cannot cope with the bureaucratic corruption and inefficiency. The last few years I have been traveling to China and what bliss it has been. They welcome travelers and make it so easy. I now travel there three months at a time and although there are ripoffs there as well as anywhere else including my own country (Australia). China, Thailand and Singapore are efficient and welcoming destinations. My condolences to my Indonesian friends; they have to put up this all the time -- I don't. The only way the government will change this policy if people vote by their wallet -- go elsewhere. T. CIRRUS Melbourne I have to agree. Immigration officers and police see tourists as targets and it is a national sport and not seen as criminal to take/steal their money. I have heard many times that police plant drugs or steal money when doing a house search. Nobody will complain -- it's too dangerous. Even the Balinese are afraid of the police. They only target tourists when they're riding without a helmet. All Balinese can ride without helmets, sending SMS' while driving their bike (with four people) or in a car. But no police will stop them. Especially with the financial crisis, I hear more and more businesspeople say they want to leave Indonesia because you cannot trust no one and the contract is not even worth the paper it is written on! You cannot even trust a notary! They will just let you buy a piece of land that is not even owned by the seller and the notary just laughs. I really love Bali and after the Bali bombing, the people were so glad for the people who stayed, but now I only see greed. Let us hope things will change and Governor Pastika will keep his promises. FRED JOHNSON Denpasar Indonesians have to pay fiscal departure tax to get out of the country while foreigners have to pay immigration tax to get in. Is this xenophobia or simple greed by a sector of the public service that nobody seems to be able to control? Or is there another explanation? HENRY MANOE Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara I totally agree. I live and work in Bali, and have a few visitors each year. Everything at the airport is an unwelcoming entry port into Indonesia and Bali. When my elderly parents visited me earlier in the year, they were ripped off by customs officials for bringing some gifts to my children. They were then ripped off again by baggage handlers when collecting their bags. They never want to come back again. Many of my expatriate friends feel the same way about Ngurah Rai Airport and the services there. I dread coming back into the airport there as you never know how they will try to rip you off for on your reentry into Bali. JON Denpasar I have been actively posting my anger toward visa-on-arrival -- not because of the content but because the Indonesian people are not ready to adopt the new rules because they have no idea how to run it and they lack experience. They should learn from other countries such as Japan, where passport processing is very fast and very professional. I think none of the Indonesian government personnel read any postings in this forum, so we are just wasting our time. I have seen the Australia Embassy respond to one of their citizens in this forum; why can't the Indonesian government do the same? The visa-on-arrival gives you a very short time and there is no way you can finish your visit to Indonesia because just going through the airport takes 90 minutes -- not to mention the fact that the infrastructure is very poor. I would say the Indonesian government doesn't pay attention to detail as it is not in the culture. ANDI SIAHAN Jakarta Immigration must be more corrupt than the police! They refuse to issue receipts. Always dream up 'problems' and the worst part is I own an Indonesian company. I am an investor and have to deal with them. KEVIN F. Jakarta The visa-on-arrival service at Jakarta airport is also a messy affair, with passengers having to wait a long times in queues due to the stupid way the system is implemented. Stupidity has its limits and the Indonesian bureaucracy seems to have infinite levels of the same in making a simple process as complicated as possible. Perhaps it is time to implement some form of online issuing of visas, just like e-ticketing. Or better still, just abolish the horrible visa system and the corrupt immigration system that implements it. Indonesia is paying a very high price for nurturing an archaic immigration system that makes the country look stupid throughout the world. DAVID Jakarta . My humble two cents. |
