you can walk from hotel to joints in batam
do that in balai you will be sweating like pig
u can take ojek or van in balai, sure
but honestly i have no idea how to get into villa with those
my last experience in balai is during the rainy season
sure as hell glad i'm in kxxa car instead of braving the flood water by foot

batam joints are all spread out, balai only one Street. many hotel have transport to villa, a senior once brought me to rukuo using the oplet van then we walk to villa.

From Aston to villa 15 minutes walk, more than 30 minutes from Maxi to villa, it's better to take a yellow van.

In Balai here, look like nobody follow the ramadan month regulation, I saw two ladies with hijab eating their food in KFC, and almost all restaurants are opened.

During the first weekend, girls spent almost the entire booking period in the room, not even going out for meals. Either the customer pack for them, or they order room service. But, think this is more of avoid getting into trouble than following the fasting practice cos girls are eating anytime or as and when they need food.
