Fantastic information here, especially coming from the local brothers - thanks. It seems that Geylang (especially Lor 16) is still offering some LB action, but persistence, timing and patience are required. I am visiting Singapore in May and will definitely hit Orchard Towers. But I am keen to also sample the ladyboy scene in Geylang , and have decided to spend a night at one of the Hotel 81 or Frangrance hotels down there. My plan is to cruise Lorong 16, Westerhout Road and Guillemard Road after 11.00pm until I find the mother lode. I am in search of pre-ops, and very keen to pick up two (I want to be spit-roasted!). Am I dreaming or is this still a possibility in Geylang?

My research is also telling me that there have been a lot of raids on the area in recent times (hence the lower numbers of ladies). I am assuming the punters are also being targeted? As a fat, middle aged whiteboy, am I gonna have a big target on the back of my head as I do endless laps of Lor 16, Westerhout and Guillemard?

its a huge target, hell no matter where u go in Singapore, u have a huge target.

my personal advice is to just schedule some TS to visit your hotel room, maybe from Craiglist. but if u want to experience, no harm trying geylang, but there is mainly normal women. do try Rowell road to...

but if u have some cash to spend, and want quality time with good TS ladies, u should invest in those more "higher end" ones. for me, i had bad experiences before... and also no point risking the numerous raids and police checks in that area (Geylang/Rowell). so my advice is give it a miss, and just call some to your hotel room in some more decent part of the country.

I'm not experienced in Geylang, so I can't answer your questions well. Specifically, I wouldn't know whether you'd be a target for local law enforcement.

But seeing that you're here for a holiday, I'd say go for the best - Orchard Tower. I've walked around geylang a few times, and honestly, the standard of local ladyboys just doesn't match up to that of the thais working in OT. The price of course, can go up to 3-4x as much. If you're an experienced punter, which you sound like you are, you can probably get a good deal or two there.

Where do you hail from? Have you considered buying a cheap ticket and making a trip to bangkok? Much more goodies there to be savoured, and at much lower prices

Hi Fatguy and Capcrunch - thanks for your quick replies and good info. Am definitely going to Orchard Towers - was there 12 months ago and hooked up with a lovely Thai ladyboy (Eran, I think) at Crazy Horse. Will probably concentrate on Club Romeo this year. However, I am also attracted to the idea of prowling the backstreets of Geylang for some action. I dunno, maybe it's the fact that it is illegal that makes it all the more exciting. Will try Craig's List if the choice on the streets is poor.

Unfortunately, I will be in Singapore for just a couple of days for work, so a quick trip up to Bangkok is not an option.
