It is true most people will buy the set, keep the iron and throw away the woods.

It is all a question of feel. Real story,,

About 3 year back was playing golf with a very serious golfer, Handicap 8. He said his dad, got this new iron ask him to try.

He give me 7 stroke per nine, play so well hammer me blue black...score like 38 gross or something for the frist 9.

During the break after 9 hole, he call his dad and was told the set was made in shanghai Syard.

Cannot play after that.


Heard qingdoa is a really nice place. You should recce a bit and offer to be our guide .......I am sure alot of people would like to visit QD.

I tried the Shanghai Yard in year 2003, the club face of 3 wood dented after a few shots! Buying clone set very much depend on luck, as the quality varies in each set.

I dont think the clone set can be better than the original, the feel can tell the different.

Haha! Yes you are right, I should have recce since 2 years ago as QD is only 150km away from my home.

I am ashamed that what I know of QD is only the airport, which I frequent twice a month!

Since we are spoiled by CP, I didnt try the KTV there. Not sure of the standard but I can guess will be more or less like any city in Shandong.

As for golf, no kaki so I never made any attempt to find out. Weather for golf is best in Sept and Oct, and April to June. July and Aug also not bad, hot but still cooler than Sin weather. It will be too cold to be outdoor for 5 hours from 15 Nov to 15 March, for that matter the course might be closed.

If you do visit QD, please PM me, I can make a trip down to meet you.

Golfing with an older man

A young man who was also an avid golfer found himself with a few hours to spare one afternoon. He figured if he hurried and played very fast, he could get in nine holes before he had to head home. Just as he was about to tee off an old gentleman shuffled onto the tee and asked if he could accompany the young man as he was golfing alone. Not being able to say no, he allowed the old gent to join him.

To his surprise the old man played fairly quickly. He didn't hit the ball far, but plodded along consistently and didn't waste much time. Finally, they reached the 9th fairway and the young man found himself with a tough shot. There was a large pine tree right in front of his ball - and directly between his ball and the green.

After several minutes of debating how to hit the shot the old man finally said, "You know, when I was your age I'd hit the ball right over that tree."

With that challenge placed before him, the youngster swung hard, hit the ball up, right smack into the top of the tree trunk and it thudded back on the ground not a foot from where it had originally lay.

The old man offered one more comment, "Of course, when I was your age that pine tree was only three feet tall."

Hahahahahaha................so the moral of the joke. Don't bully old man golfer.
