King power I think don't have any branch overseas. I meant like a local company so successful that went international. Like Charles & Keith, people might not know it's from Singapore but when talk about it, people know the brand.

Only once I bought Jo Malone perfume from King Power for my wife... almost 1-1 free offer... second bottle is like 70-80% off... other than that, I don't remember buying anything from them.

kingpower late boss got bestowed a surname by the last king. with such a family name its much easier for whole family to do business in thailand.
But their fortunes have turned. The successor dont know how to run the business. Now kingpower is dying because its no longer monopoly in the thai duty free market. At least 2 new competitors have sprung up to fight with them in the duty free space. Central group & one more i forgot. Could be lotte group of korea.

Ridiculous rule they implementing in Phuket to allow tourism back to the island!
That is 14days quarantine in a hotel before u are allowed to travel out to other places! Who will come to Phuket to be stuck in a hotel room for 14days? And who pays for the 14days quarantine in the hotel? No one will come if there's quarantine.
This will not work, I think they need to think of something better!
