The rate for a 05 years passport is $50.

The rate for a 10 years passport is $95.

For those whose spouse have travel documents that have replaced with expired ones, please remember to go ICA to transfer her re-entry (REP) onto the new document. Just bring her old / new travel document, and the re-entry permit certificate.

I do not know how to put it. I am supposed to get register with a viet gal on 19 and 22/Jun but back off last minute as both not ready. If we were to register again will there be any issue? thks.

Hi Bro Rof,

My wife have just got a 6 months social visit pass which was stated that it cannot be renew. Was also told to get a job so that can get work permit to carry on staying here. Is it advisable to do that?

The official told you this, while issuing the social visit pass? Did he/she says why cannot be renewed?

If that's the case, not easy to get a work permit, unless she has good qualifications. Furthermore, not easy to find a suitable job within 6 mths also.

i was planning for my gf short visit to singapore & what she can do to make it meaningful. Then I thought of helping her to convert her driving licence to sg class 3 so that she can drive here in future & hopefully help her in getting a job in sg in future.

my friend's wife got the SAME thing.... I read it and if you read carefully, its not really clear whether she can work /or not. For my friend's case, the letter says some thing like, your application for LTSVP has been rejected however she is granted 6mths of short term visit pass. While she is in singapore, she may want to look for a job but while she is Singapore, she can not be found working. etc
(some thing like that...I can't remember what the actual words was)

Anyway....

I believe you're either (1) divorce case (2) your CPF contribution looks weird - certain months not paid up? (3) your self-employed and your Income tax looks weird..

Check the above few and you should know whats wrong with your application.

In the mean time, I suggest you just hang on to that 6mths and when expired... Apply Again. This time, get your documents ALL READY....

i got the same letter today, this is due to the failure to obtain the long term visa,so the govt give 6 mths ask our spouse to look for job.is this new system now?what after 6mths.i must well reapply LTSV again.btw my wife have a degree.maybe they consider case by case.but then if apply work permit isn't it more diffcult to apply PR?that what it used to be

A Friend went thru the same thing you guys did, recently he received a letter from ICA, asking for his company details... Rental/lease agreement, company bank account statements for the last 12 mths, major contracts/invoices from company, documents to show his earned income etc.

wow.... ICA so strict ? or is this norm ?

already done that at ica during applying fo LTSV.the onlt thing i was reject becos my last 2 years never submit.so i gonna re apply LTSV again

This is not a good idea, as you are the local sponsor for her LTSVP. Maybe you can try other conduit, when her Visa is expiring soon. An appeal to ICA, or your neighborhood MPs. Hope it helps.

In actual fact, LTSVP is issued to the spouse, and it has to be renewed, at least 2 weeks before it's expiry date for extension. The pass can be valid from 3 mths, 6 mths, or even 1 year type. If ICA has stated ahead, that they will not be renewed in the next extension. I think some policy has been in place liao.

korb, never submit your IR8A, and submit your IR8A diligently, even your annual income is low, is a different thing leh.
