Will Sept 10-15 a good time to be in JKT?

Hello to all seasoned bros of JKT,
Me newbie in JKT, will be my first time there for work next week. My area of operations will probably be centered around JW Marriot area. Does anybody have any suggestions? Probably spa or massage will be more suitable because will be with some colleagues but I think they all have their own arrangements. Thanks in advance!

The traffic in that area will be extremely terrible during rush hour, so it will be kind of hard for you to move around between 5-8pm

For spas... i think easiest probably for you to go to Grand Wijaya Center... there's delta, fortune, cherry and d'heaven 2... or go to fortune spa near le meridien..

These should be the nearest if you stay at JW mariott. As what bro Upstairs has mentioned, be prepared to get stuck in the traffic jam... probably 30mins from your hotel to the grand wijaya. or maybe 15-20mins to the other fortune near le meridien.

weekdays to grand wijaya is a bad bad idea.
be prepared for at least an hour. its traffic via both major roads down to that place.

fortune spa near meridian is better choice. just that the roads to there is under construction so very......

I will be going Jakarta next week too. First visit as well.

To the other bros, while i am still choosing the hotel to stay in, would it be wise for me to stay in Orchardz? So everything is convenient. LOL.

My fixed Hotel is All Seasons Gajah Mada. All outlets like Classic, Mario, Empo, Travel are near by, also Golden Crown Disco, Club 36, and Orchardz not far.

If you mean Orchardz at Industri, it's an ok hotel to spend the night
While Orchardz at Pangeran Jayakarta, I won't recommend you to stay there.

Illigals at Hayam Wuruk, I think 150-200 SGD depending on which girls you take (different price levels)

Mayzo at Setiabudi One also can be an option (a bit pricey though because a lot of expats go there)

Care to elaborate more? I've stayed at all 3 Orchardz hotel before .. below is what I feel:

industri is more prone to traffic jam and flooding(during rainy season) on the main road; but they just renovated the hotel/spa few months ago.

Jayakarta is convenient, there's a few shops right outside the hotel.. barber? and a provision shop selling drinks/sim card/ciggies etc. but the hotel itself is pretty worn.

Bandara is newest among the 3 but furthest away if you wanna go to town to party, but nearest to airport with free shuttle services to/fro.

I find each have their good and bad points, maybe you can share more insight.

ok noted. anyway had a change of plans. will be at kelapa gading area (whiz prime hotel to be exact). Anyone knows if there is anything nice around this area?
