I will be in Shanghai next week, only for a night (between 2 planes). I will stay in a hotel 5 min. distance from the Pudong airport. I think is very far from the town. What can I do to have a nice evening with a girl. Can you help me?

I think I know where you will be.. I think the closest town for you might be Chuan Sha... I am not familiar in that area... I will be shocked if SGP69 network extended till that vicinity... Maybe XuJiaHui will know......

the easiest way to go to town is head back to the airport, thak the demo line (400+km/hr) to the line 2 subway, then take subway to town.

ticket for demo line : $100 2 way
subway : $4-5 one way, depend on where u go

ride time :
demo line : 5 min
sub way : 20min to ren ming gong yuan

A studio in Orchard Rd cost more than a 2-bdrm apmt in Bt Panjang...hahahaha!!!! u staying in the equivalent of SHA leh...

U can take the Airport Express Shuttle bus service (No. 2 Bus / 机场快线2号) to heart of town Jingan Temple （静安寺）, （城市航站大楼）City Airport Terminal Bldg. One-way ride is only a mere 40-45mins. Bus fare is a mere RMB 19 yuan or SGD$ 4.00 net (one-way)
Jingan Temple (City Airport Terminal Bldg) area is well located, with lots of F&B outlets, HC joints around. All above-mentioned F&B outlets and HC joints are within walking distance of 5-10mins walk away from the City Airport Terminal bldg.

Street of pubs / bars / restaurants (Jingan Temple)
- on Tongren Road, junction of Yan An road / Nanjing Xi Rd.
(Manhattan Bar/ Woodstock / Judy's Too / Bluefrog)

HC joints
- Shanghai Hotel, on Wu Lu Mu Qi Rd, junction of Hua Shan Road,
- Jin Yuan Wan （金源湾桑拿浴）HC located on Nanjing Xi rd, junction of Wu Lu Mu Qi Road.

Wah Bro... He is in transit lehz... 45mins is maybe the bus ride without traffic.. but after clearing customs and waiting time.. and dont forget the trip back.. Wow.. I think the MagLev idea is better.. hehehe..

Indeed the MagLev train ride might be another alternative ride for Bro Blaksea, but....the Maglev train only takes one to Long Yang Metro, then one has to change to the norm metro train again to Jingan Metro station which takes almost the same time span.
Either way will still require a 45 mins ride or so as mentioned. Bro Blaksea has to decide himself then. He has only a night to spend so it might be just adequate for him to the trip to Jingan area being it's more fruitful with the F&B outlets & HC joints varities for his pick in that vicinity. BTW, my homeground is no longer the Jingan area as I've moved away from town area after 4 yrs of dwelling there...rental too bloody high can't afford it to stay in town area anymore lah! Now staying at the brink of Outer Ring area at Ha Mi Rd, nearby Hong Qiao airport.....suburb area bro. Poor man lah!

Yup, coincidentally I met Bro Limpeh369 at Hong Qiao airport on Sat noon as I flew in from Guangzhou and him flew in from Shenzhen. Met at the same luggage claim belt.......will be flying off to Guangzhou this Wed morning....
