Hi guys,

It's been awhile. Really Glad to see the thread is still live and well.

Think it's been 8 years since I went batam but I'm making a trip down tomorrow with a colleague of mine. We're gonna be near staying near Nagoya side purely cos it's a one day affair.

Anyone familiar with KTV's in the area? And if you can list rough damage it would be really helpful.

In some years, the CNY will fall on Ramadan. How is it? How the CNY is celebrated, if it falls exactly on those blackout dates when everything is closed in Batam?
Did any old bro here have this experience in Batam? I am not sure how many years ago it happened, but it must be maybe 20.

555 u make me recall once their was a triple holidays (Hari Raya, CNY n Deepavali within a week) years ago....
That time I was cheonging the southern triangle in Thailand (Kolok, Hatyai and Dannok).

As my first destination was Kolok (border town near msia) That was a little challenge to go up via east coast Malaysia which housing the two Muslim control States (Kelantan n Terengganu).

Bus tix price to Kotabaru increased.
Kota baru to pasir mas bus not running go to take taxi.
Pasir mas to lantau panjang same

Luckly once I cross the boarder all back to normal.
Kolok as a strong hold of Muslims. But no holiday for Raya and Deepavali.

My new room,hehehe...

...and for the same price i paid regularly. 1st time staying in a new room.

This time round,i am going to use the Bat Suit....opps! Not bat suit,but the dove suit,hehehe....there's however one small problem in this room,it's behind the hotel,so i might end up waking up early in the morning due to the construction work behind the hotel.

Hmm...i think bro Blackpage and some regulars might like it.

Apologize for the late reply,this trip my objective is to rest and relax as i arent feeling well since i came back from my Batam CNY trip. I am using Batam to recover myself.

The room is a junior suite from Formosa Hotel, here's the price taken from their website :

...and i paid 560k rupiah for that junior suite room,instead of 840k rupiah.

Here's how....

I found many fault in that room (junior suite),the previous old room is better,so i swapped back today,once its available. (i am so used to those old ones that i often get to the wrong room,hehehe...)
