This is a long piece and after much editing, it is still a little long.
The published version already has about 10% of it shaved off, looking back i would want to shave off another 10%.

I thought the first half of the story was far more gripping and the story development really good. Nevertheless, there was a lot of suspense in the story and, man, I still can't believe you had Yiling killed!!! I enjoyed working more on the introduction of the characters right up to the fight on the Rajah rooftop.

Thereafter, the element of surprise and discovery more or less tapered out.
It felt like fillers when i was working on it because everything is connecting back to the attack on the childcare before the eventual clash at the castle.

It was a difficult decision to kill Yiling but the drafts and scenarios where something developed between Jackson and her didn't really work out when i read it and it would have drag the whole piece even longer.

Actually Kamal's father is Hokkien which partly explains why he is fluent in that language. I edited some background of the characters away to shorten the length.

Jane is based on someone in real life so i will not be revealing her but i'm sure everyone has the ideal image of ' Jane ' in their own mind.
