LTSVP confirm no problem as it is not needed......for PR they will ask for it but if unable to produce still ok as ICA also know many PRCs especially those born in the villages not have Birth Cert........as long as you can produce her 户口本.......they accept liao

I like to find out what are the procedures & complications to divorce a prc wife. Man is a singaporean, marriage registered in prc. Wife got PR status already and they have one singaporean child.

The couple may contest for the custody of the child, but the wife is currently not working.

It's a sad but genuine case, not one of those "fake" marriage. Any other advice will be appreciated.

alternately, you can ask her to bring her 户口本 to the 公证处 of her hometown and pay for something called 出生公证，this is as good as a birth cert. remember to ask for a translated copy or else ICA will give her more problem

yo bros, how long does it take for CID to process the declareation for criminal clearance papers?

gonna register marriage outside singapore so that's 1 of the required documents i need to produce but seems like it's taking forever !
anyone has a idea of the timeframe?

Yes that's a good suggestion but dont think those ulu villages have got english translated copy bro......thier standard of english ICA might not accept too....better follow law & bring it to high court to for translation......50 bucks cannot save

Register it in marriage capital of the world Las Vegas then....confirm dont near such documents......minimum hassle

What I did for my wife is bring the Household Booklet (户口本) to Singapore Subordinate Court for translation (they have an office at level 1). Pay a few tens of dollars.

Cos I've this "believes" that the chop and signature of local authority is better that overseas ones ... so far, ICA accept without any question asked.

saw this condition on the website , dont really understand it, im registering in the amphur, do i have to get them to issue me a document (what document?) for me to obtain this certificate?

Onli heard of foreigners (usually malaysians) require this if seeking employment in SIN....never heard of the reverse.....maybe CID also dont know what to do for you.....since registering in amphur....me suggest a little "token" to grease the palms of amphur officials
