Before i made my first trip to VN in 2002, i hold the same idea. `War-torn country' `rundown' etc are all that was on my mind before going. But after going there a few times, my perception changed. One thing is their upbringing is very much different from us, thus they hold very different ideas on variety of issues.

WHen I brought my wife to Cambodia by Bus ... She was 'CULTURAL SHOCK' on what happens in the border ....

To me , it is very efficient to travel to CAM by BUs

There are some staffs who jobs is to help carry cargo out of the bus for inspection ... so when they see foreigner, they will approach them and sell them sim card and then tell them to give them about 5 USD to help them fill up forms and help them clear the customs fast .... imagine, they sign on your behalf when filling up the forms ...

True ... clearance is very fast coz this people will take your passport straight into the office and CHop ...
