Re: do you feel everything keep increasing price here...soccer matches, FL, transport
Dear fellow Singaporeans, "The Brain washing Disease Campaign" has been here 24/7 365 days trying to brain wash the young to revolt against our hard working govt !!!
Singapore is a well organized and well managed country but unfortunately the online sabo kings, disgruntled individual, people with hidden agenda, fugitives, foreign fugitives and the terrorists etc......are here purposely paint a different view trying to brain wash the young and naive especially the illiterate to revolt against our govt !!! They want to destroy our country our govt and want our country to stop progressing by being critical on every single policy, whether right or wrong they will find ways to criticize it and twist it in a way to sway your judgement !!! They want Singaporean to be disunited, vastly and bitterly divided so that the country cannot progress and move forward to compete against the rest of the world. Look at Thailand and Egypt now, what happened to them, who suffered the most ??? The people, the nation suffered the most, next the country currency will depreciate and that is the price that you have to pay if the country is bitterly divided !!! Do you really know who these online sabo kings and disgruntled individual are and what is their ulterior motives ??? NO, of course not becos we are all hiding behind the computer. If they really care for the country, then we all welcome healthy discussion, discussing policies how to bring the country forward in order to have a better future but unfortunately they are here to poison you, brain wash you 24/7 365 days !!!! Readers Beware !!! |

StarHub issue statement on World Cup broadcasting rights: Quote: StarHub issue statement on World Cup broadcasting rights: “We are concerned that customers will have to pay more for 2014 FIFA World Cup (World Cup) from $66 to $105 on a standalone basis. At a time of escalating sports content costs, we made a sincere offer to our competitor for a similar arrangement as the last World Cup. A joint bid would have spread the cost of the content and allowed both operators to offer the tournament at a more affordable price, benefitting all viewers in Singapore. Unfortunately, our competitor chose to acquire the rights exclusively. The higher price our competitor paid for the exclusive rights for this year’s World Cup (compared to 2010 World Cup) exacerbates this trend. Overbidding resulting in soaring content costs will have far-reaching implications in the future for viewers in Singapore. In addition, our competitor’s World Cup offer sets a precedent for operators to acquire exclusive content at high prices to lock customers into extended contracts, which runs counter to the cross-carriage regime’s objectives. StarHub will comply with MDA’s cross-carriage direction, and broadcast the 2014 World Cup on our platform. However, unlike the Barclays Premier League where we provided a rebate to our customers who chose to subscribe to the content cross-carried on our platform, we will not be able to provide a rebate for the World Cup. The rebate was intended to help our customers, but it has inadvertently encouraged our competitor to continue making higher exclusive bids, which in turn, further inflates the cost of sports content. We do not support overbidding of content prices by our competitor, as it will have long-term adverse implications for the industry and Singapore viewers.” Jeannie Ong StarHub Chief Marketing Officer |

Re: do you feel everything keep increasing price here...soccer matches, FL, transport
just curious how the bidding works.
why does broadcasters in other countries pay much lower fees, and some can even afford to screen for free, while SG needs to bid so high to get the screening rights? |
