This formula works regardless of what the last digit of yr hp number is.

If u do yr homework or if u have the patience,
you can key in any number from 0 to 9,
and after u follow the maths and deduct yr birthyear
(which is the crucial step that will determine yr age)
yr age will always be in the last 2 digits
and the first digit will be back to yr hp number.

There is nothing magical / spiritual / fascinating abt this newspaper article.

The only thing I will have to admit is, the person who came up with this formula has 2 traits:

1) He is a very brilliant mathematician who is actually able to conjure up
such an intricate formula.

2) He is prob a really very bored person who is so rich
that he has nothing better to do ...

PS: Bro yohooo. This trick works regardless of whether the year is 2013
or any other year. The internally orchestrated mathematics involved,
ingenious as it is, ensures that one's birthyear, once deducted,
will always ensure that one's age is revealed in the last 2 digits
of the final result.

2) Take the no. times 2 ( 8* 2 = 16)

try it next year after ur birthday and u will get what i mean, dont forget u grow older by 1 year, every year... of course... some friends of mine beg to differ... they always tell me they are 21... I cant argue regarding that...

tbh, u do not need a mathematician to come up with it, they just need creativity... so i agree with u that the objective is probably to impress girls... but hey, it would definitely work for those who do not know the 'workings' behind i would use it if i can remember the numbers or i would come up with an unique one if i am in a state which i can do it

the important number is the 1763. Just change this number for every diff year Minus 250. E.g. If in 2015 wan to use this. Change the 1763 to "2015 Minus 250" which is 1765. It Will still work. Could ask people to think of a number and follow the formula. Will still get the number the person is thinking and the age too. Works better. And for Chinese year. Just Minus 249 and it Will still work.
