Thumbs up Official: Sinkies Will Sell Out Their Companies For Some Money! Treacherous bastards!

An honorable member of the Coffee Shop Has Just Posted the Following:

An independent salary survey conducted by Hays revealed that 43% of the Singapore workers surveyed says that salaries and benefits remain the key reason for leaving a job. Over 3,000 employers and 6 million employees across China, Japan, Hongkong, Malaysia and Singapore were surveyed in the annual salary guide by multi-national recruitment firm Hays.

You may view the 2016 Hays Asia Salary Guide here.

Wages in Singapore are stagnating with little or no increases. Singapore also saw the highest percentage (12%) of workers with no salary increase from their last review and the lowest percentage (16%) of workers with salary increases of more than 6%.

The current morale of Singapore workers is also at a low with 37% of the Singapore workers surveyed indicating that they are leaving their current job. Singapore workers also expressed the highest pessimism (17%) on job security being a reason for seeking a new job.

Most Singaporeans value work-life balance with 60% of them staying with their current company because of it.
