Last Sunday ordered steamed garoupa, drunken prawns, mussels, gong-gong, veggies, homemade tofu, squid, satay and drinks for 6pax, less than 800k... Same dishes would have probably cost 1.2-1.5juta in harborbay...

From someone who couldnt take Sea Food and can only READ this thread (and online reference) when it comes to Sea Food restaurant,i find the Rezeki appears to be one of the BEST Sea Food restaurant shared here from a long time ago. It is very very far away from the usual cheonging place where most will stay away,hence has very little tourist visiting it. Its been around in Batam for about 32 years and yet not a tourist reliant restaurant. It is at :

Nono, I remember reading that u looking for a vegetarian resto. Try Nature Vegetarian. Use Tripadvisor to know where it is situated if u dunno the place. But be informed that it is not in the touristy areas. It is my go-to resto on days I do not take meat. Absolutely true vegetarian resto (they dun serve eggs ).

Thanks John for this info. Gonna check it out. My go-to seafood resto is at Piayu (long drive). Since then have been trying to find one similar to it but not needing long drives.

For me, best restaurant I know, where to take one or two girls for a nice afternoon away from Nagoya is a kelong restaurant at Barelang right after 4th bridge, small road down to right, the one in the middle.
I don't remember the name but it must be Aneka something. The driver will know. Hire a taxi for min 3 hours, preferably 4 hours, to have time to go (1h each way), eat and relax.

Aneka rasa blackpage one of my favourites too but the flies are damnn nuisance when eating ....keeps bugging u...hahahaha...u should try batu besar its damnn marvellous like most of our bros here say....

Ibu Joko is awesome... One of the better beef rendangs in Batam and their soups are superb (sup tulang, sup daging, etc)... Yes, their satay very good too....

Just to side track a bit, if any bros staying in Formosa, New Berry is literally less than 5mins walk from Formosa. Can't believe I paid for taxi the last few times Indah 2 is also just 5mins walk from New Berry.

Last 2 trips was quite SOP with Bro Newbirth. Except that I think he won't trust my camera skills in the future (ahem booking through live reporting as Bro Newbirth was running late)!

Also on my last trip, my girl (booked once before) asked me to go to a friend's birthday party with her at newton. Although I didn't mind going (ended up didn't go), I do find it weird that she would ask her ah bang to meet her friends??? of course I have to admit that I was quite intrigued because the birthday girl looked really really hot from her whatsapp profile picture HAHA!
