OT - Malaysia Automated Clearance System (MACS) pass

Sorry, if post in wrong section.

MACS pass which allows clearance through either Woodlands or Tuas checkpoint without having to fill up the white immigration card.

MACS pass costs RM30 (S$12.50) and is valid for one year.

If Malaysia can afford to print all those white immigration card and issue free of charge for Singaporean.

Why should they charge RM30/year for a MACS sticker ?

Re: OT - Malaysia Automated Clearance System (MACS) pass

paying $12.50/year for the auto pass is quite worth it, if you go to JB regularly for some 'live firing' exercises/training!

Re: OT - Malaysia Automated Clearance System (MACS) pass

The Reasons are very simple..

1) A new Sg passport costs.. $65.. so if u go jb like me, everyday... u chop like siao..and each year u change 3 or more passport..

2) 30ringgit.. and u dont need to write that stupid card, and sometimes, they dont even scan... just flash n go.. :P

Re: OT - Malaysia Automated Clearance System (MACS) pass

Can any kind souls help me here.

1. Can I apply on behalf of family? Must I bring along their passports? Any other documents etc etc to show proof?

2. For children, any discount? Or pay full price as well M$30?

Tks.
