It's how you phrase your words. Frankly speaking, we have faced many request similar to yours either in June or Nov/Dec period. And most of them are students. Since your joined date is Dec 2011, and with the words you have just phrased, it's only natural for us to think that you are just a schoolboy asking for freebies.
